No privacy

When we arrived there the swimming pool was green and dirty, we had to ask the grounds keeper to clean it for us. The grounds keeper was all around us and dit not give us any privacy for the weekend. The place needs a little bit more of house keeping. But otherwise we had a lovely time.

Great location, easy directions, very warm welcome, loved the camp and the tents, fanastic evening meal and the safari the next day and the guide were amazing. Well worth the visit and stay, would definitely recommend and stay again.

Masungulo River Camp
Masungulo River Camp, which means 'new beginning' in Shangane, is a self-catering house that lies within a reserve. Guests share their time in the camp with the abundant wildlife that roam freely throughout the reserve. Situated between the Malalane and Crocodile Bridge entrance gates, this is the ideal stopover for people wanting to discover the Kruger or who are en-route to Mozambique.

The camp has funky bush showers and an 18-meter viewing deck from where you can watch lions, elephants and other members of the Big 5 come down to the river for water. Take a walk along the river or simply relax around the swimming pool. Enjoy a truly African meal under the African skies and retire to your comfy bed for a good night's sleep.

We offer one- to four-day, fully inclusive safaris into the Kruger Park with our registered guides and open safari game viewing vehicles. Facilities include a lapa and a swimming pool. Accommodation is in self-catering house sleeping up to eight guests.

Why not take a break in your journey and enjoy a little nature, take a walk along the Crocodile River, stargaze or just enjoy the African sunrise or sunset.
