If you are looking for a spot to stop over in Victoria West or enroute between Cape Town and Johannesburg, this is the place! Wilma is a wonderful hostes who takes amazing care of guests and great pride in her gem of a guesthouse. We had breakfast (an extra) which she made for us and was a feast. Her recommndation of 'Ka Roux' down the street for dinner was another highlight in a trip full of great memories. For us it would have been useful to have internet, and right now it is not reliably available in this part of town.

Nothing needs improving, they have everything someone would need from a place, friendly staff and accommodating! Cant recommend it highly enough!!

Beautiful guest house in the lovely valley Karoo valley in which Victoria West is situated. Our accommodation was a kitchenette, a massive bathroom with bath and shower, a large dining room / sitting room and a large bedroom with very high ceilings. Parking is off street under car ports, and the breakfast was generous in variety and quantity. Meeting the owner Wilma was a highlight - a straight talking and lively personality who has survived teaching, politics (local counsellor for 15 years) and guest house owning

The Guest House was quite an experience, friendly service and Aubrey at Reception provided professional help. Definitely worth a return visit!!

A litte disappointing finding little to no water onsite, would've been nice knowing this before booking.

The guest house is amazing. Our rooms were spacious, clean and neat. Everything is available for a comfortable stay over after a long days travelling. We really loved our stay at Victoria West.

A lovely guesthouse with everything one needs, we stayed in Vygie and it has large rooms. A clean place which is important with a baby. They also have a cot in vygie that made life so much easier

Exellent place to stay we have enjoy

Lieflike plekkie, kamers lekker naby aan mekar met lekker braai plek en swembad. Ons het baie lekker gebly en hulle gasvryheid was iets besonders.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Victoria West Guesthouse. Our host, Wilma, was welcoming, informative and friendly. Our room was quaint and spacious with comfortable beds. The architecture in the town was interesting although not well maintained due to a lack of money. However, there were some restored areas which were attractive.
It is definitely worth a detour off the N1!

This is the second time I have made use of this Guest House, and once again what a pleasure. The people are fantastic, the rooms immaculate. its an overall pleasant experience and if I ever go down to Cape Town again, guess where I will be sleeping overnight :)

What a lovely little place! We can definitely recommend a stay over here. Everything was provided down to a two prong adaptor in our room called Noesab . Wilma is the very friendly landlady with a colourful personality and we left feeling like we'd known her for years. Mietjie the office administrator was extremely efficient and welcoming. An added bonus...if you love animals...were the visits from Wilma's cats and dogs. Parking is secure and off the street with a security guard patrolling so we felt at ease leaving our fully packed car overnight. Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice guest house with everything you need. Very clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anybody.

The previous review was unfinished and should be ignored. We stayed in the Vygie unit. The main complaint is the shower where the shower head is almost completely blocked to the point where one cannot have a proper shower as not enough water comes through. The beds are comfortable, the fridge could be a tad larger, the rooms smelt a little musty when we first went in, giving us the impression that they hadnt been used or aired for a while. However the staff were very accommodating and helpfull.

We used Victoria West for a stop over on our way home. The reception on arrival was wonderful. The room was very neat and beautiful and well equipped. We did not stay for breakfast but we have heard it is well worth the R70.

We had a stop over at Victoria Wes Gastehuis close to end December 2012. The rooms we had is beautiful and comfortable. There is a play area for the kids and the garden was a pleasure. We had a nice breakfast in the morning before we departed as well. The people that received us were very friendly and helpful. Thanks Wendy and Miekie for the nice stay. To SafariNow....please fix the directions on your page as it leads the guests to not so nice territory. I would advise visitors to get in touch with the guesthouse when you are close to them or if you have a GPS use the R63 as the street name.
