The lodge was great and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Tony and Maria were great and were very helpful in helping us to plan our onwards trip. Definitley one to return too and recommend to friends.

Great Staff, Fabulous Food (ALWAYS too much) Tented accomodation very comfortable. Game drives and Walks really informative It was so good we can't think of anything else

One cannot fail to be impressed with this establishment. The luxury spa tents are superb - but for sure you need to stay more than one night to have the time to use them (which we sadly did not). It's great having the feeling of being in the bush, being so close to free roaming animals with nothing but an electric fence between you and them. And whatever you do, sample plenty of the Nyati JJJ.

Good accommodation, both in tents and at lodge especially. Best food we had from at a Safari Lodge whilst in South Africa, especially the bri with Paul at the end of the walk. Jessica especially like the lunches, whilst I could eat Maria’s bread all day long. The fridge in the tent was a good idea, but it needed some drinks in, and cost of drinks would have been nice to know in advance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buffalo Hills and learnt so much about the animals, conservation, and wicked liquers with strawberry and chilli! It was certainly the highlight of our stay in South Africa - though the whole holiday was fantastic. Now that we have visited a game reserve and seen the animals (particularly the rhino family) at close quarters we will be following events with close interest and are already glued to any television programme about wildlife in Africa! Your guides were so informative and interesting - it's not often that I get up early in the morning to admire trees in the forest! All the staff were welcoming. It was certainly more personal and friendly than it would have been on a larger reserve, and everyone's concern for the protection and preservation of the animals was plain to see. I'm just reading about your other activities and already hoping to come back and spend more time with you. Thank you!

The rangers and hosts were most welcoming. Introducing themselves by using their first names. Very child friendly. Excellent food served, although the options for the evening food supplied for the children was limited in quantity. My son could have easily eaten several of their lovely sausages! Superb accommodation. Money well spent.

We cannot speak highly enough of Tony and ALL his staff at Buffalo Hills, the accommodation was fantastic, the food was wonderful, the rangers knowledgable and passionate, NOTHING was too much trouble, everthing was perfect.

The standard of the accomodation, the friendly staff and the setting of this lovely Game Reserve make it a place not to miss on your trip to South Africa. The safari drive was fantastic followed by a great BBQ. The walk in the morning was superb and our guide was very informative and funny. The view at breakfast was the best ever. Go there!!!

A really fantastic place, would recomend to everyone. Hosts were excellent!

Me and my 2 small children stayed in a cottage at the hills, end of June. The evening drive is briiliant as the sun sets and the animals are moving to settle for the night and the monring one is quite unnerving on foot. The accomodation and level of service is great and would definitley recommend tourists to include Buffalo Hills in their itineraries for the Garden Route.
