A little piece of heaven

Had three glorious days in Mooiplaas. The cottage is just so pretty, nestled among the vineyards and gets an occasional visit by the herd of goats. It's right on the river with mountains all around and the peace and tranquility was magnificent. We indulged ourselves in complimentary local wine, fresh fruit and rusks. A really stunning find. Hope to get back there soon.

Mooiplaas River Cottage
The Mooiplaas River Cottage can be found on the farm Mooiplaas, nestled in the heart of the Breede River Valley. On this working farm, you will be surrounded by majestic mountains and sweeping vineyards. The beautiful stone cottage is situated on the outskirts of Wolseley, just an hour and thirty minute’s drive from Cape Town at the end of the Bainskloof Pass.

Indulge in our breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, or bask in the sun while being lulled by the soft sounds of the Breede River five meters away. Savour the fresh air, take a load off, relax and unwind. Come enjoy the simple things that nature has to offer, every day.

At Mooiplaas River Cottage you will find two bedrooms, a separate bathroom and a main en-suite bathroom. The main bedroom consists of a queen-size bed while the second room has two single beds. The finest bedding will be provided for your stay.

You also have the use of a fully equipped kitchen that leads into a sociable, open-plan lounge area. There is an additional sleeper couch if you would like to accommodate an extra two guests. Enjoy the views of the Breede River while braaiing.
