Tranquility
Nadi Claassen - Sunday, 17 September 2023
Loved the peace and isolation! Our dogs had an amazing time and enjoyed the many hikes and chance to explore. Beautiful wild flowers and the homemade ice-cream is a must! We were sad to depart and would love to return!
Just being there, it's food for the soul

This was our 5th stay at Enjo and we again engaged the calm, peaceful surroundings – truly a nature farm. One request – to charge cameras – maybe a USB port in the cottage?
Peaceful in a forgotten valley

Camping area under a huge tree next to a water stream. Only sounds are water, birds, frogs and the occasional dog barking. The stars at night are incredible. There are three camping spots with water and electricity. The only downside was the not always hot water in the shower. They are however busy with new ablutions.

Wonderful hosts. A truly beautiful family experience. Cottage spotlessly clean. We love rustic wilderness spaces, so for us it was perfect.

The little cottage at Lonely Planet is the sweetest place - tucked out of the way in a little kloof without any other cottages in sight. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is it. The cottage is tiny but perfect. The bedroom has a double bed with lovely views out the two low windows. A nifty ladder in the kitchen takes you up to a mezzanine with two single beds and a little lookout window. When not in use the ladder is hooked up to make space below (it will provide kids with endless fun - adults, too!). The kitchen has a two plate gas stove, a small gas fridge, and your basic cutlery and crockery. There are two armchairs for sitting in and nattering before going to bed. All you need, really. Small bathroom with solar powered water (shower was hot). No internet (yay) but if you need your fix, there is at the main house. Solar-powered lights, so you won't be stumbling in the dark. If you're lucky, you might spot the two resident, contented geckos who defy gravity as they wander around chomping the mosquitoes (we assume so, because there were none!). Please let them do their thing and don't be scared of them - they are shy and so useful and not at all dangerous! For those who braai, there is a firepit and quirky cement couch with cushions. Also a stoep with table and chairs. There is a little pool up in the rocks behind the house - big enough for two to sit in and cool off on a hot day. We went for a lovely walk to the spring (7 km there and back), and various other small walks. The climate is arid and fascinating. The veld has been completely rested for two years (was over-grazed) and has to be for at least another three, we heard. We're looking forward to going back to see the progress there and to learn more of what is being planned for on the ecology side. Trip was far too short.
No internet or cell phone, just peace and quiet

The location is awesome, could probably benefit from a solar powered fan in the hotter months.

Peace and Tranquility
Chaneen Van Graan - Sunday, 29 December 2019
We went the camping way, very nice camping spots. Nice ablution, but would suggest they add another one. They have all the basics one need and even have an honesty shop. Very friendly reception. Nice dam for paddle ski and another to cool off and swim in. Worth the stop.
Relaxing and carefree

What a beautiful serine place! We chose Enjo Nature Farm to breakaway from our busy city life. The PERFECT CHOICE if I might add. It is super remote. The Oak chalet was so cute and equipped. Myself and my fiancé loved everything about it. Definitely going back, but this time, end of fall. We went in February, and OH WOW, was it HOT. But the spring fed swimming pool made up for it. Not did we only enjoyed it, but our pets did as well. The host was very friendly and so helpful. The little shop at the reception came in so handy. Free WiFi was also available at reception. 5 Star rating *****
The starry sky. An absolute dream.

Enjo Farm
Debbie Byrne - Monday, 03 September 2018
We had an enjoyable 2 night stay at Enjo in their Annex unit. It is off the beaten track, but our Datsun Go had no problem on the roads. It was lovely to pass through the different farms to see the wild flowers. The cottage was more than suitable, very warm and comfortable with everything that we needed.
The highlight of our trip
Alex Moore - Monday, 03 September 2018
Enjo Farm is beautiful isolated farm in the heart of Biedouw Valley. We stayed in the annex room, which was connected to the main house. It was large and comfortable and had all necessities for self catering. The surrounding area is pristine, and at this time of year it is full of flowers. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely becoming back again !
Relaxing, peaceful camping off the beaten track.
Wendy Collinson - Monday, 20 August 2018
Lovely quiet farm in the Biedouw Valley . Only 3 camp sites and quite private. Only one toilet and shower but the shower is excellent heated from a solar panel. Fantastic dam for swimming and another bigger dam for canoeing etc. Friendly, helpful hosts along with equally friendly dogs and horses.
Peace and quiet
Claire Davies - Monday, 21 May 2018
We loved our stay on the farm, particularly the silence, slow pace, and open spaces. We were really grateful to be able to bring our dogs too.

Wow, i loved the scenery from the lodge and the night sky and absolute dream. Perfect for the price we paid. Thanks again to team from Enjo Farm. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful setting and swimming place
Sanjo Rose - Sunday, 11 March 2018
We were three adults who stayed in Oak Chalet for 4 nights. The location is lovely and peaceful although it is far if your aim is to hike in the Cedarberg. Algeria campsite is about 2 hours drive away. The dam is great for swimming and all the pets are very friendly. The chalet is simple but sufficient. The little shop stocks wood at a good price as well as ice and some other goodies. The owners also kindly let us put our meat in the large freezer in side which was great. The upstairs loft is a bit warm, so would not advise staying here in summer if the second sleeping are is needed. The ladder to the loft is a bit fragile if you older or heavier. We will definitely be back although we would only book this spot for 2 people.
The peace and tranquility of the farm and the dam!
Grace Cross - Thursday, 01 February 2018
The farm is well equipped and organised, we loved staying there!
Absolute rest for your soul
Bianca Brown - Wednesday, 24 January 2018
The Lonely Planet cottage on Enjo Nature farm is an absolute must for anyone looking to "go off the grid" for a couple days. We experienced the most amazing moments of star gazing and the splendor of shooting stars. We were surrounded by the wonders of nature and no noise to interfere with the tranquility. We felt like we had the privelage of absolute solitude. We will certainly visit again.
Nature - WOW !!

Very friendly owner and staff who go out of their way to assist guests in everything they need. Shop can stock more basic items needed for self catering (and often forgotten at home).

Rochelle Ruiter@Yahoo.Com - Wednesday, 24 May 2017
The stay was nice. Loved most of the stay. Just not the fact that we couldnt play music how we want. Just mayb next time include rules or something saying dont play music too loud...that spoiled our stay a bit. Then we will know next time book away from other chalets. But we loved the chalet, the mountains, the animals.
Privacy, tranquillity and the real farm atmosphere

The warm welcome and the cool shade under the thorn trees created an immediate pleasant experience. The friendly dogs and the 2 tame horses completed the friendly environment.
Wow

It was amazing, clean chalet, enjoyed swimming in the dam and appreciating the peace and quiet of nature. Would definitely go back. Just make sure you have enough food and drink as the nearest town, Clan William is +- 50 km on mostly dirt rd.
Wonderful place!

Great chalet, some with private natural pool. Big dam is really really nice!
A Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful stay on this remote and interesting farm. Our cottage overlooked the river and the mountain and made such a wonderful picture.
It is a place to come and recharge your soul in the peace and quiet. The million stars visible at night were such a treat for us city dwellers.
Kobus was very helpful and hospitable.
There is lots to do, but two nights stay are not nearly enough to do the place justice.

Peaceful and a perfect place to stay for a getaway from the city.
PEACE that surpasses all understanding...
André Olwagen, South Africa - Thursday, 20 October 2016
I would highly recommend Enjo!

I was welcomed with peace, and I stayed in peace.
It was so quiet out there I could hear myself breathing. The nature and surrounding mountains seemed to scream majesty.
The stars so close you could pick them.
A natural charger for our batteries.

Once you go explore one walk it is difficult to turn back... you could walk for hours, hours!

The units are well kitted out. The natural reservoir is stunning!

Tessa and Kobus are awesome and accommodating.

Awesome weekend away at Enjo Nature Farm

Super holiday in super heat
Janis theron, South Africa - Monday, 11 January 2016
Thanks to Andrea and Tessa and their team for a wonderful camping trip at their farm and home. We loved the camp site, the horses, the dogs and the terrapins. We loved the sheep and their donkey protector, the stunning sunsets and the peace. Best if all we loved the dam and reservoir as it was HOT and DUSTY.
Take care...
Delightful!
Sam Black, South Africa - Saturday, 31 October 2015
Stunning setup and charming hosts. Enjo has beautiful rustic cottages and 3 lovely campsites strung along the river. Loved the attention to detail and the massive spring water pool. Great for a getaway with kids and dogs, a biking adventure or a quiet retreat - definitely soul country. Once is not enough! Thank you Andrea, Kobus and Tessa.
Peaceful, remote and beautiful

Relaxing and everything you need
Kerry Radmall, South Africa - Monday, 20 April 2015

An amazing weekend stay. We stayed in the Cabin - was small and quaint but had everything we needed. It is positioned on the camp ground but still offers lots of privacy. Also walking distance to the reception where you can buy wood, blitz, bread. There is a communal fridge where you just help yourself to stuff and then pay on departure. There is a great play area for the kids and a great swimming pool.

The hosts are friendly and helpful and even took the time to come around to everyone to inform us of the load shedding and provided candles.

There is no cell phone reception which was great for us as it really was a break from the city life.

We will definitely be back and soon

Gorgeous
Magriet Botha, South Africa - Monday, 20 October 2014
Our stay at Enjo Nature Farm was fabulous, peaceful and tranquil. Surrounded by nothing but Mother Nature herself, you find yourself immersed in the pure beauty of the surroundings. Lazy Leopard Cottage is delightful, within in meters of the river, its ideal for a family. The natural dam to which you can walk offers awesome swimming and picnic spots. From your cottage you can do short walks or longer hikes, you can take a drive to Wupperthal along a 17km dirt road or relax at the river. The establishment also has a small shop and a man made dam with decks for picnics or just pure relaxation. I would highly recommend.
Perfect stay

Enjo Nature Farm
On Enjo Nature Farm you will find relaxing accommodation next to the river and enjoy complete privacy and great views of the Paardeberg mountains. The farm offers different accommodation options, from self-catering chalets to camping. Each self-catering chalet boasts great views, an indoor fireplace, a barbecue area and some have their very own jacuzzi. Our Lonely Planet Cottage is a special one as its positioned very remote and runs with Solar and Gas instead of Eskom. Due to its remoteness we do not clean it in between every booking and expect you to leave it as you find it. On arrival you are given a basket with bedding and all you need which you return with your check out.

We have three nice campsites with braai facilities, water and electricity points. There is a nice hot water ablution block and dish washing facility.

Enjo Nature Farm is situated far from the main tourist tracks, within the unspoilt Biedouw Valley of the Cederberg mountains. The valley is known for its magnificent spring flowers from July till September and incredibly beautiful landscape. Enjoy the quiet beauty and millions of stars at night. There are also wonderful hiking trails on the farm to the Enjo Amphitheatre and to the spring which feeds our drinking water. Choose between exploring the area on your mountain bike or motorbike. A natural dam is also on our farm with paddle skis and a canoe.

Close by you will find the Wupperthal Missionary Village with its hand-made shoe factory and rooibos tea shop, while a visit to the Sevilla rock art trail with its rock paintings and caves is a must.
