It was very nice staying there. We enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful stay at Vaal de Rama. Thank you Isabel for your attention to detail and friendly reception. We stayed as a family 8 adults, all rooms had everything we need. We will be back!

We stayed in the detached cottage for three nights. It is a very pleasant cottage with a lovely balcony overlooking the river. Very quiet and comfortable. Would love to stay there again.

Our weekend stay at Vaal de-rama was good. Well kept house. Swimming pool and Braai area at the back. Lovely host - Isabelle. Breakfast not included - had to pay R70 pp. And were only informed after we were invited to join for breakfast. A huge dining room table where all the guests get to partake in the breakfast. Fresh muffins, orange juice, cuppa joe and bacon and eggs. Close to the water. In a lovely quiet spot.

Isabel who runs Vaal de Rama made us feel right at home, and because the cottage wasn't occupied she let us stay there - this was perfect as we had total privacy! Her breakfasts are lovely and she is constantly around to chat to and to help out! PS: For someone like me who battles to sleep, the bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in!

Fantastic decor and host. What a nice and relaxing guesthouse with a wonderfull view and decor not only on the inside but outside as well. You will totally get your moneys worth with excellent service and a wonderfull host. Add to that the peacefull serenity of the river and birdsounds as well as friendly people of the town of Parys and you have a perfect rest cure for us city bums. Thnx for making our stay so wonderful Isabel.

Personalized attention.

Beautiful, peaceful, clean accommodation. Excellent service we received from the owner. Healthy breakfast was prepared for us. We are definately going back there.

The facilities are very neat and would be ideal for two to three people. However, for a family of five, such as ours, the self-catering cottage is a little too cramped and makeshift. Otherwise, a lovely venue.

The honeymoon suite that we stayed in was clean and spacious. The hostess was friendly and served a lovely breakfast. This place must be beautiful in summer since the river is opposite the house and contributes towards the tranquil and peaceful experience we had. We will stay here again.
