Wetlands country house and sheds offers beautiful accommodation in a lovely area. The rooms are spacious, clean and exquisitely furnished. Every evening I got back there was a nice flask of sherry on the table and the fireplace was packed. Lots of attention to detail is what makes Wetlands such a lovely place. Breakfasts were five star, old-style country cuisine that was absolutely unbeatable. Every detail, down to the selection of preserves to enjoy with your toast was exquisite. The blueberry jam is out of this world. The hosts are very friendly and professional. I will gladly refer my family or best friends to Wetlands, should they wish to stay in Wakkerstroom.

Stopped over on trip from South Coast to Lydenburg, such friendly people, will go back and stay longer to check out surrounding area, could also enjoy a romantic stay as well.

I enjoyed my stay and was very comfortable but I would have enjoyed having a TV in my room. I also found that to start breakfast at 8am is too late for people wanting to get an early start. There was no flexibility in this regard.

Can recommend the Wetlands Sheds. We only spent one night but could have stayed longer. The local Bistro that Phil recommended was amazing. Food and environment were great.

This was quite an experience. We spent the first night of our honeymoon here and were pleasantly surprised. Our hosts were warm and accommodating. The shed was very comfortable and luxurious with quality furnishings, a fireplace, electric blankets and romantic bathroom. It is private and quiet. Breakfast was great and served in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended. The little town is also very quaint.
