Great accommodation
Ansi Mama, South Africa - 09 July 2007
What we appreciated most was that we were left to enjoy our stay without any unnecessary interference from the owner. The accommodation was great. We had a very relaxed holiday, as we have two young children, but the proximity of the house to various places of interest in Cape Town meant that we did not have to drive long distances for leisure activities. The house is spacious and adequately resourced. We have already had enquiries from friends and family, and will gladly recommend the place. We also intend to rent it again should it be available on our next trip to Cape Town. Ganief is an excellent host!
Enjoyed

Just a note to say thanks for the use of the flat at Kalkbay. Peter and I enjoyed the stay.

Best accommodation deal available. Very clean and comfortable and in the centre of everything. Would recommend it to all my friends and would definitely be back.

Basic but comfortable. More spacious than expected. Garage was an added bonus. Will visit again.

Walk To Beach
Bohemian Kalk Bay is an undiscovered jewel of the Cape which has been transformed into a vibrant, arty village famous for antiquing and eating out. Many agree that once you have seen the scenic False Bay coastline, you will be hooked for life.

It has the most beautiful and sought after views and there is so much to do in Kalk Bay: you can experience a phenomenal evening with dinner at the Kalk Bay Theatre; go to Kalk Bay harbour, the oldest line-fishing harbour in South Africa where you can enjoy the banter of the fishermen offloading their catches. Bring home a freshly caught fish to braai on the sundeck. Concert in the Park' is held in a little oasis in the heart of Kalk Bay, but you will have to hook up with the locals and come with your own blanket.

Silvermine is one of the haunts in Kalk Bay and is a favourite spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Boulders Beach is nearby, just like our famed Table Mountain which is another natural wonder. Boulders is home to a colony of African penguins. The granite rocks provide a vantage point from which to view their underwater antics. You won't be able to resist taking a dip in the inviting waters yourself, following the penguin's lead.

Enjoy life on the beach on the tourist route to Cape Point, where the two oceans meet. We are a mere four minutes walk to Clovelly or Fish Hoek Beach, which is great for swimming, canoeing, sailing, body boarding, kite flying and morning and evening strolls. Wooley's tidal pool in the Indian Ocean is just across the road.
