Quite weekend away
Thabang , South Africa - Monday, 31 March 2014
We were staying at the lodge in the last weekend of March 2014. We enjoyed our stay thanks to the great hosts. Pity we never managed to make it to breakfast because our stay involved very early mornings and very late nights due to the great offering of activity happening around the town of Hermanus.
Amazing

Met two amazing people, Trudi and Derrick Dickens, who made you feel so at home. Would recommend this lodge to everybody.
Not again
dick van duijn, Netherlands - Monday, 17 December 2012
3 stars for this accommodation is overabundance. It was not clean and the couch was very old. The owners were cat lovers, so we found everywhere catshair and when we sit outside the came anytime to us.

Establishment's response

We have addressed the complaints that were made. The couch was due for a clean, but due to inclement weather had to be postponed and was only cleaned the week after the guests had left. As for the complaint about the cats coming up to them when they sat outside, I have a cat called Garfield who is very friendly and always greets the visitors. The other two always steer clear of strangers.

I am very sorry that Mr van Duign did not make me aware of his problem at the time, but this has now been resolved.

The best was the personal attention given to us. We were taken on a most wonderful trip up the mountain by the owner which was very educational. Great location. Out of the way of the city, but close enough.
Very enjoyable

I absolutely loved staying here. Derrick and Trudie are the most excellent hosts, I cannot rate Inkwasi Lodge highly enough. It is one of the first establishments I have given a 5 star rating. I am looking forward to staying again in the near future.
Trudy and Derrick, you're the best :-)

Thanks for everything that you did for us during our short but thoroughly enjoyable visit at Inkwanzi. Trudy and Derrick, we shall always remember your warmth, hospitality and all the assistance you gave us, without which our holiday would never have been the same :-). Despite the weather, which was at it's worst; we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our stay was indeed a revelation and remains the highlight of our holiday so far this year. Our only regret was that we could not spend more time in this magnificent town, for truly there is so much to see. In fact our appetite has only been whetted and we hope that we shall return soon to visit Hermanus and surrounds. The town, we felt, was one of the nicest we have visited, the people are friendly, the food (especially the places you had recommended but they certainly don't beat Trudy's cooking :-)) was excellent and we certainly felt safe and secure at all times. Since returning we have spoken to many of our friends about our visit. I would recommend Inkwanzi lodge without hesitation to anybody wishing to visit Hermanus and surrounds, and have already mentioned it to my work colleagues

We had a fantastic time, superb hosts - a special thank you to Trudy and Derrick who went out of their way for us. Even though we had been to Hermanus many times, Derrick took us for a drive up the mountain and pointed out things that we had never known about. Superb hospitality, scrumptuous breakfasts, close to the sea, beautiful facilities, peaceful surroundings - highly recommended!! We were sad to leave but will be back!

Exceptionally pleasant
Victor Rosa - Friday, 03 February 2006
Our stay in Inkwazi Lodge was exceptionally pleasant. Trudi and Derrick are excellent hosts and the room is also excellent with all that is necessary. Something that impressed us from word go: At our arrival and during the usual introductory conversation we told our hosts of our nationality. Well, after settling in we went out to the car and for our pleasant surprise and delight Derrick had the Portuguese flag flying high in one of the masts! Isn't that something?! Also Derrick took us on a tour to the look out point over Hermanus always telling us everything about the city and its history! Trudi's breakfasts also very good and delicious! Could't be better! Thank you for informing us of this excellent B & B.
