Had a wonderful stay at 38 Vermont Avenue. The house was homely and clean. It was suitable for our family of six. A big thank you to Marie for her hospitality.

38 On Vermont
38 On Vermont is a self-catering three-bedroom house which sleeps up to six people. Two rooms have double beds, and the third room has a two single beds. There are two bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, and an outdoor braai with undercover seating.

The large back garden is fully enclosed with safe play areas for children. The lounge is equipped with TV and DVD player, as well as a DStv connection for guests who bring their own smart card. The dining area has a table with seating for up to eight people, and the house is fitted with an alarm and burglar bars.

The single level house is situated within walking distance of Onrus tidal pool and the local shopping centre, which has a shop, butcher, pharmacy, bottle store and a pub, and Hermanus town centre is a mere 6 km away, giving endless opportunities for restaurants and shopping.

We have a fully equipped, self-catering, and one-bedroom flat upstairs at Vermont with a separate entrance. The flat has one bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a toilet, shower and basin. The large living area has a kitchen area, dining area, lounge area and built-in braai. The bedroom has sliding doors to a large balcony that looks out over the back garden, and offers a lovely view of the mountains and a glimpse of the ocean. The flat does not have access to the back garden. The flat accommodates a maximum of two people. Regret, no children in the flat.

If golf is your game, there are several golf courses nearby, including the Arabella Estate golf course. Whale-watching is a favourite pastime for visitors to the area, and other activities include kayaking, surfing, shark-cage diving, swimming, and walks in the nearby parks. The Vermont salt pans located just across the road also boast an abundance of birdlife.
