Great place

We were 6 adults and 2 children and thoroughly enjoyed the lodge, it feels like you are alone in the bush, great animal sightings on your doorstep.

We had a great stay at Kanya. The accomodation was lovely and Chloe went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we required.

We had a very lovely weekend! The place is perfectly equipped and we had all we needed and more. It was lovely to wake up in the mornings and watch the animals right on our doorstep. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We all had a wonderful time: Game watching from the patio. We saw Kudu females and babies, waterhogs, Impala, Badger, porpcupine. Went on Lion Viewing lovely to see. Accomodation very comfortable, beds a bit small for large people, otherwise all very comfortable with all assessories needed for self catering. Would recommend this venue to anyone.
Awesome - Thanks Chloe!

We had the opportunity to make use of Kanya weekend of 2 March 2012. What a fantastic experience. The house is an absolute gem, tastefully furbished, everything available that we needed (the photos don't do it 100% justice) and very relaxing. We only made use of the primary section of the lodge that sleeps four and there are two seperate chalets, self contained, that sleeps two each. An oasis in the for lodge occupants and game alike in the bush, which very is private (can't see any human neighbours). We had several species of game coming up to the house, we saw more game here than on the game drives. We enjoyed the splashpool, the outdoor area and the braai deck thoroughly. In all an awesome experience for city folk who want to experience the bush in five star luxury. Thanks Kanya.
Absolutely fabulous

As overseas visitors, we are recommending Kanya to everyone we know. We found the house very luxurious, modern and spacious with stunning décor. We did not have to bring anything but consumables. Cloe was a fantastic host and worked very hard to ensure we were comfortable. We loved the bush showers and having warthogs and deer visit us on our doorstep. Where do I even begin describing the beautiful boma where we made big fires every evening and the stunning sunsets enjoyed from the swimming pool? We saw all of the Big 5. Don't forget to visit the bush pub. I did not want to leave. Thank you!
Excellent

Goed gelee inni bos. Fasiliteite uitstekend. Baie diere besoekers, standaard wekker soggens was die tarentale wat klop aan die deur. Dankie! Well located in the bush. Facilities excellent. A lot of animal visitors, our standard alarm clock in the mornings were the guinea fowl knocking at the door. Thank you!
Absolutely fabulous!

We couldn't have asked for more. The unit is really stunning - an absolute gem! Thanks to Chloe for all her efforts. She really went out of her way to ensure that we arrived there safely and were happy.
Majestic break

What a nice weekend break. The Unit is wonderfully decorated, and very relaxing. With a stunning swimming pool, great rooms, and in the middle bush. There is no one around you as you can hear all the sounds of the bush. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Kanya is a privately owned lodge inside the Mabalingwe, a Big 5 game and nature reserve situated 28 km from Bela Bela and 140 km from Pretoria.

Tucked away in the bush with four en-suite bedrooms, you can sit on the patio and watch game come right up to the lodge. A private pool, a boma and an open braai facility completes the picture. Plus there are bush showers so one can really experience nature.

Kanya is the ideal lodge for a quiet getaway from city life.
