A touch of Tuscany

We loved the light, bright room and décor. Our hostess was warm and friendly, and breakfast was delicious.
Wonderful stay

We were two couples and stayed for one night, but would definitely stay longer next time. The area is beautiful and the staff very friendly. We had to leave early to the airport and was treated to a lovely breakfast at 6:50! Thank you for all the trouble you went through to make our stay memorable.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great for the Valentine's weekend. The special Valentine's breakfast was a real treat - great getaway for couples.

Very quaint place, very clean tidy and well run. Has very pleasant outlook. Just down the road from the main centre.

Gooding's Groves Olive Farm B&B
Surrounded by mountains and olive trees in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley is Gooding’s Grove's Olive Farm and B&B. Situated 3 km from the centre of the historic village, the recently restored manor house built in the Cape Victorian vernacular has the feeling of a Provencal farmhouse.

Here you can relax in the comfort of any one of our eight en-suite guest rooms, each with outside entrance, balcony, and breathtaking views of the Drakenstein and Franschhoek Mountains, with the Wemmershoek Mountains literally on our doorstep.

Enter the warm embrace of the lounge, library, and reception room with roaring log fire in winter, or if it’s a cooler more relaxed feel you are after, the superbly positioned dining room with folding glass doors that open out on to a shaded patio, offers our signature view over the vineyards on the mountain ranges.

Gooding’s Groves offers a bed and breakfast experience with a personal touch typical of the Franschhoek way of life. The atmosphere that one feels in Franschhoek village never disappoints and lives up to this unique Cape treasure with its abundance of galleries, crafts, art and antique shops. Main Street is legendary with its superb coffee shops and restaurants. Only 45 minutes from the mother city, Franschhoek is also the ideal base to explore the Cape Winelands.
