The beautiful view and cozy accommodation
Tracy Chetty - Monday, 21 March 2022
We loved the fact that the lodge could accommodate so many people in one home. The only thing that could be considered is we found spiders under the blankets in 3 bedrooms, this scared the kids. Apart from this, we had an amazing weekend, the accommodation felt like your home away from home.
The silence

Everything was great
Lakeside Cabin...disappointed!
Kelly Walker - Monday, 15 January 2018
We stayed in the lakeside cabin. The cabin was comfortable and clean but we were disappointed with a few things. Sad because there is such potential to make the cabin really stunning as its in a perfect location. We got the impression that its being neglected. The TV was very old, buttons missing and we had to stick hairpins in to turn up the volume, not safe. The frying pans seriously need to be replaced as the teflon was coming off into our food. Oven was old and buttons missing and took ages to figure out the settings. No sunlight liquid in cabin we had to ask Colin. No comfy outside chairs to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Just an old wooden bench set that gave you splinters and old dusty camping chairs stacked in the corner. Deck needs smoothing down and sanding to preserve the wood. We had to ask for a decent braai as the tiny one under the deck had seen better days. In saying all this we would have much rather have been offered the Lodge as it was empty the entire 3 days we were there and looked really lovely. Boats should be provided to each cabin. We asked Colin for a boat and he was reluctant to loan us one as he said it had a hole but we took our chances and it was great except the dams were unfishable due to excessive weeds! Dam needs to be restocked and combed.
The Olver Stay

The place is very beautiful on a lake and is peaceful and tranquil.

We would use the place again.

Magnificent place

Beautiful spot. Only outstanding item was a closing braai grill. Colin helped us with one.
Lovely Place
Kirsty Collard - Monday, 10 July 2017
We loved our stay at the lodge. It had everything we needed. Colin was very helpful and there if we needed anything. A recommendation, you could put more photos on your website, I think this will attract more visitors. The website really does an injustice to how lovely the place is. Only two things I think you could fix. The noise of the water pump and possibly to get fish back in the lake, otherwise perfect. Thank you for our stay

This is a very well kept establishment with amazing service (smiles all around). That building is perfectly built and situated on such a beautiful dam. I must say when your have a Deck that runs the entire length of the building how can you go wrong :)

Tranquility at its best
Danie Muller, South Africa - Monday, 05 September 2016
I can highly recommend BrambleBerry Lodge.

The scenery is beautiful and it's the perfect place to get away from the noise and distraction of your average life.

They were so kind as to accommodate us in a standalone cottage where we only booked a room in the main cottage.

Looking forward to coming back
Fatima Rodrigues, South Africa - Tuesday, 31 May 2016

Weekend at Bramble Berry Lodge
Walter Ringelmann, South Africa - Monday, 20 April 2015
The Bramble Berry Lodge location alongside the lake is peaceful and tranquil. Colin the host made us feel at home.  A great, quiet spot with easy access to the Midlands Meander routes.
Beautiful and quiet place to stay
Siboniso Khumalo, South Africa - Friday, 20 March 2015
Beautiful and quiet place to stay. Great value for money. Colins was a great host and we enjoyed the breakfast. My only suggestion is the improvement of the road just outside the main gate. Its a bit difficult to ascend that slope especially when its raining and you are driving a sedan, you will definitely need a 4x4. Either than that my wife and I enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful Stay
Brigitte Britten-Kelly, South Africa - Monday, 05 January 2015
It's a large, comfortable lodge ideal for a big family gathering or group of friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Colin was very hospitable. The setting is beautiful and is a good base to explore the midlands.
Great location

Warm and wonderful
Elizabeth Douglas, South Africa - Wednesday, 14 May 2014
Although it was May and chilly outside for our visit, the welcome and the log fire inside were most warming. Comfortable beds and loads of hot water. The view across the lake was wonderful and the reflections and water birds were a picture.
Amazing experience

I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay. Colin was so friendly and caring, made me feel right at home. The heater in my room had already been put on for me as well. Room was spotless. I'll definitely be back.
Enjoyed it
John Stewart, South Africa - Monday, 25 March 2013
My wife Stephanie and I really enjoyed our stay at Bramble Berry Country lodge - we stayed an extra day. We found it very restful, peaceful and fair value. The staff (Colin) was especially attentive and competent. The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed and the location, apart from the beauty of the lake and forest, is central to many other attractions in the Nottingham Road area.
Wonderful

Wonderfully relaxing environment. Colin was very helpful and cooks a mean breakfast. Would recommend Bramble Berry to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing break. Very convenient for the Meander and Nottingham Road restaurants.

Malcolm Brown, South Africa - Monday, 06 July 2009
We overnighted en route to the South Coast on a very cold and windy night. We were well received and looked after by Colin during our stay. The cottage is well furnished and most comfortable and warm on the cold night. Thank you.
