02 May 2012 My partner and I had a truly fabulous and relaxing weekend at Vaalnest. The accommodation was WOW and the food was more WOW! Our hosts were really hospitable and made our stay quite enjoyable. Would recommend it to anyone looking for time away from the hustle and bustle in Jozi but not willing to drive a long distance.

03 April 2012 I enjoyed my stay at Vaalnest Boutique. Great personal service. It has a definite home-away-from-home feel and beautiful views of the Vaal Dam. Plus nicely appointed rooms. It was a peaceful, tranquil experience!
However, more signage is required, in particular for the Vaal Marina area. More activities are also needed for visitors to enjoy.
Good Guillaume Bester, South Africa

17 October 2011 Excellent hospitality, wonderful rooms and facilities. I would recommend that breakfast start earlier (it was not really available until 8:30 on Sunday).
It should have faster Internet facilities if the goal is to host business meetings.

02 January 2009 After a long a strenuous year, all it took was 3 days at the Vaalnest to remind us that there is so much to live for. From the moment we got there we were made to Felt at home. The staff are very hospitable and never for once did I feel like I'd travelled away from my home. The view of the dam from the hotel is enchanting and many a time my girlfriend and I fantasized that we were in Knysna or at lake Geneva. This hotel is world class and could be anywhere in the world and I'm glad that its only one hour from me. My only regret is that I never stayed longer and I look forward to going there again. To Keith, Everlona and the jolly good staff, Dudu, Gina, Bheki, suzan and others.. All the best..
