Unfortunately run down
raija Doert, Austria - 11 January 2014
This place used to be something Special - we were there in 2002 and definitely wanted to come back. But we found that nice place now 11 years afterwards run down, no renovations made. The personnel were very friendly and helpful.
Great stay

I enjoyed my stay at Seasands Lodge. I would go there again. The staff were great, beautiful garden as well.
Nice place but needs maintenance
Raija Doert, Austria - 17 December 2013
Some 10 years ago we were in the Seasands Lodge and as it was so nice at that time, decided to go there ago. We were disappointed; hardly any maintenance have been made since then. This is not a 4 Star but Maximum 3 star accommodation. It is really a pity that it is so run down as it could be a very romantic place with the nice surrounding. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean.

The lodge and the services is good. The only thing is, the kitchen doesn't have enough tableware.
Very pleasant stay
Nanette Cocksedge, South Africa - 07 April 2013
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Accomodation pleasant. Any problems were dealt with promptly. The rather large fountain outside room 15 left us wondering every night wether it was raining outside!! We will definately return.
Homely

It's accommodative and homely.
Pleasant

Stunning position with gorgeous swimming pool and lush vegetation. Very friendly and helpful staff. Just a note, you cannot hire snorkeling equipment at Cape Vidal, rather buy at St Lucia and take your own (we were told you can hire at Cape Vidal and had 2 very sad children when we discovered you can't and we weren't prepared to drive all the way back to St Lucia to buy). Accommodation needs a bit of maintenance (ie the towel rail had come off and not been replaced).
Lovely place

We spent five days in this lodge. It is by far the best place in St Lucia. The room was wonderful but don't miss out on the bar/lounge above the rest. Organizing for next year for sure.
No longer 4 Star facilities
Carien Vorster, South Africa - 18 July 2012
We loved St Lucia for its beautiful surroundings and all the activities for young families. We drove to Cape Vidal, which has the best beach for children, and saw a leopard and many other game on our way. The highlight of our stay was the hippo that came out to graze on the side of our road at nightfall. The staff was very friendly and helpful and provided personalised service. Our only critique is that the linen and towels are really old and unpleasant, even the pillows are smelly. We will definitely go there again, but this time we will take our own bedding, which is not what you should have to do for a 4 Star holiday.
Very beautiful

It's a very beautiful lodge with nice comfortable big rooms with a balcony and a beautiful view. In the early morning the monkeys run through the garden and jump on the roof.
A real gem
Katherine Wentzel, South Africa - 06 October 2011
In spite of rainy weather all weekend, we were perfectly comfortable at Seasands Lodge. We really experienced nature at its best and were privileged to see an owl, duiker and mongooses right from our balcony. Overlooking a forest, sounds of waves crashing in the distance. What more could you ask for? We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed our stay at Seasands Lodge very much - the accommodation was very comfortable and surrounding garden is beautiful. Everything is clean and neat. Staff at all levels was very professional and friendly. I would not recommend to make use of Seasands lodge on self catering basis because surprisingly all crockery and cutlery is very limited and for sure not sufficient for preparation even simple meals. But I would recommend Seasands lodge for stay to all my friends and I would consider for my next visit to St Lucia.
Long weekend @ Seasands Lodge
Mpho Msiza, South Africa - 28 September 2009
Sifio & I had a really great time - St Lucia is a true gem in the country. We loved the game viewing and walks on the beach. Seasands Lodge also offered a tranquil place for us to rest when we didnt feel like doing much.
Family weekend
Ferenc Benda, South Africa - 13 August 2009
Our stay in the lodge and St Lucia was excellent, very nice and friendly environment and staff, and very professional service. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, food is superb and all activities coordinated very professionally. We had a gread whale watching, saw plenty of whales playing/jumping, horse rides were perfect as well as the boat trip and the Hluhluwe park and Cape Vidal visit - we saw even a leopard close to Cape Vidal. Clearly a place we would like to come back.
Enjoyed the stay

Wonderful private feeling.
Nette Unterkunft in langweiliger Stadt
Ingo Kugenbuch, Germany - 29 May 2008
The hotel is recommendable for a short stay in St Lucia. One lives very pleasantly in two-story little houses, which are completely equipped with kitchen, two televisions and Safe. There is even a tiny pool with a marvelous view in the plant on the rain forest. Frühstücksbuffet is okay, and to the evening one can eat here also well and inexpensive. The service is super, at the reception can one all possible book. Miss in no case: Snorkels at the Cape Vidal and a navigation on the Lake St Lucia. The city is by the way a harsh disappointment. But therefore is one also not here.
Lovely place,

Fantastic

Our stay at Seasands was the best holiday we could have wished for. The lodge was great, spacious and well equipped. The staff and management were fabulous. They made us feel like long lost friends coming home. The food..... wow, amazing, who wants to self cater when you can eat like kings. St. Lucia as a whole is a paradise holiday spot. Why anyone would want to travel abroad when we have this on our door step, I'm still not sure. The Shaka Barker night drive into the wetlands park was.... I'm at a lost for words... but anyone traveling to St. Lucia needs to try and get on one of their tours, they are great. And we can't forget Advantage tours, the ocean mammals and dolphin tour (although a bit queasy) was just out of this world. So to round this all up with the amazing efficient friendly service and homely feel of Seasands logde, I can definitely say that we will be back...... frequently.... Thank you Seasands, I truly believe that we will have to search far and wide before we will ever experience a holiday like the one we have just had.
Fantastic

Had a lovely restful time here. Staff were very friendly especially Thea arranging trips etc. Also had a really great evening meal. The menu was packed with out of the ordinary options and the cooking was fab. Clearly the best meal we had all trip.
Very Enjoyable!

Hervorragende Lage der Lodge mit wunderschönem Garten. Das Essen war hervorragend und wir fühlten uns rundum wohl.
Excellent
karen fulcher, United Kingdom - 04 October 2007
We had an excellent stay at the Seasand Lodge, Rick who was on reception was great with advice on the whole area and tours etc. The accommodation was lovely and very clean and all the staff very friendly. The only bad point was we felt the accommodation was in a dark area so made the internal very dark, but as we didnt spend all day there it isnt a problem. We had breakfast in the restaurant and one evening meal and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend the Seasand Lodge
Perfect

Seasands is amazing
edward buga, South Africa - 15 May 2007
Seasands is really amazing, the gardens and the buildings transport one to a very magical feeling and place. It takes u beyond your surroundings. Enjoyed my short stay there and found the staff to be very helpful, friendly and kind. I'd definitely table it in again..
Quiet and relaxing
Thomas, South Africa - 17 April 2007
We stayed at Seasands Lodge at Easter 2007 and were very pleased with almost everything. The rooms proved to be spacious and comfortably furnished, the kitchen equipement enabled us to cater for ourselves as we wanted to. I'd like to state that the cleaning of the rooms was very efficient and didn't leave any wishes open. We certainly would recommend the Lodge and might be seen there again ourselves as well.
Romantic fine place
Norbert Gnoyke, Germany - 05 December 2006
We have had three romantic days and nights in this beautiful hotel. Very friendly people. They really care about us. Next time we will stay longer. Great holidays.
SEASANDS LODGE
Cathy Moldovanos, South Africa - 29 June 2006
When making reservations on the Internet there is always the doubt that the establishment is not what it is supposed to be, but I was pleasantly surprised the rooms were fantastic the food was great and the staff were very pleasnt. We had a wonderful time and will be returning there most definitely.
Magnificent!
Gugu Chama, South Africa - 20 June 2006
I have learnt that you don't have to leave South Africa to find a relaxing, affordable, great quality holiday destination. My husband and I had a great stay at the Seasands Lodge. We needed a relaxing getaway and we got that and more. Even got in touch with nature. We drove from Johannesburg and the trip there was fun enough. The people at the hotel were kind and warm hearted, more than I expected. I'm planning on bringing my entire family for a stay.
SA's own paradise
Rika Roeland, South Africa - 25 April 2006
Thank you for referring me to Seasands Lodge & Conference Centre in St Lucia. From the moment that we entered the Reception, we were highly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. We were welcomed as if we were old friends and shown around Seasands Lodge before shown to our own lodge. The self catering lodge has everything you need - from a much needed aircon :-) to the basic utensils. The lodge is cleaned on a daily basis which leaves you more time to do what you really want to. The lodge has a lovely view of the Wetlands and the sea. In the morning you are woken by the birds singing and at night you can hear the hippos. Seasands Lodge caters for a quiet get away where privacy is important but also has conference facilities, a bar with a lounge overlooking the wetlands, a restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served, a swimming pool as well as the additional service to assist with booking of tours, etc. I will highly recommend Seasands Lodge & Conference Centre as THE place to stay in St Lucia. Thank you Seasands Lodge & Conference Centre for allowing me to share the paradise with you and by assisting in making my honeymoon absolutely wonderful.

Seasands Lodge and Conference Centre
Seasands Lodge and Conference Centre was established 14 years ago and is a tropical paradise of palms, cycads, tree ferns and other exotic plants that attract bird life. The resort is located in the famous St Lucia Wetland Park, with access to Cape Vidal, Big five game reserves, Zulu cultural villages and self-guided walking trails.

Seasands Lodge is known internationally for fine cuisine such as grilled fish and seafood; tasty and tender steaks; and mouth-watering curries including traditional South African fare. Their extensive á la carte menu is a must for any visitor.

We offer garden cottages and lodges set in a tropical paradise. All of the units are fully self-catering with air-conditioning, coffee and tea-making facilities, TVs with M-Net and en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers. Other facilities include a swimming pool with a wooden deck and sunloungers; a lapa and a conference centre; braai areas, a bar, an in-house restaurant; and Internet and phone facilities. We can arrange airport transfers and tours for guests.

The area of St Lucia has been incorporated into the Elephant Coast, which combines a staggering 20 different ecosystems. The eastern shore is a mere two-minute drive away. Expect greetings by warm, friendly staff members who will assist with your requirements and information about the area. We offer a conference centre to host weddings, functions and banquets.
