Overpriced
Shaun Forbes, South Africa - 12 June 2012
We stayed in Winter and received a much reduced rate. For this rate we were happy with what we got however I would not have been pleased at all if we had of been there in summer and payed the full rate. There was no TV in the room. We also noticed there was no aircon and no security on the doors, which are the only means of getting fresh air, making the room a sweat box in summer. Breakfast was great but also not worth R80 pp. The rooms were clean although old and with strange décor and there was only a bath/shower no free-standing shower.
Weekend stay for wine tasting

We stayed for three nights and found a spacious nice and clean room for a reasonable price. Nothing too fancy, no tv or internet but totally fine.
Comfortable and cosy without much fuss

Auberg is a great mini getaway location - amazing views, very nice swimming pool area and comfortable room. It's located close to the great attractions of Stellenbosch and has friendly hosts.

I was looking for a place to relax and spend time with my family and Auberge Rozendal Wine Farm was just the place. This was truly an unforgettable experience. The sun setting on the vineyards was so beautiful. My daughter enjoyed the company of the animals, she bonded so nicely with one of the horses. The hosts were friendly at all times. I will definitely go back.
Great place to stay!

We were eight people from the Netherlands that stayed at Rozendal for two nights. We enjoyed the breakfasts, the beautiful garden and our private balcony. Josef gave us an amazing, memorable experience on the township tour that included a church service. Thank you. We will definitely return.
Fantastic place to stay

It was a really fantastic place to stay. It was homely and welcoming, and conveniently situated just outside of the town. The staff were unbelievably efficient and friendly. The pool was a real life saver for us with the hot weather we had. I would highly recommend Auberge Rozendal as a very probable option in Stellenbosch.

Very friendly hosts. Dinner was exquisite! The farm is beautiful and the views stunning. Wish we could stay a while longer!
Thoroughly recommended.

We had a great time at Rozendal- the surroundings were wonderful; we were in the middle of a working farm in the country yet next door to the town. The food at the restaurant was exceptional, and breakfast under the vine veranda was a delight. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Auberge Rozendal Wine Farm
Situated at the gateway to the Jonkershoek Valley in Stellenbosch, we offer the tranquillity of country life with the convenience of the proximity of the Stellenbosch village.

Rozendal has been farming organically since 1994 and have for the past two years been using the bio-dynamic approach in both our wine-making and farming. Auberge Rozendal is a family-owned and run country inn offering 16 en-suite guest rooms. Our rooms are situated amongst the vineyards, with majestic mountain views of the Stellenbosch and Simonsberg mountains providing an environment of beauty and tranquillity. Guests are accommodated in simple elegance and comfort. Each room has both an en-suite bathroom and patio, and the rooms have been decorated in European style with a South African touch, with the walls of many decorated by works of well-known contemporary South African artists.

Relax at the pool or enjoy a leisurely walk or hike in the adjacent forests and mountains. Auberge Rozendal’s environmental and health-conscious approach to life ensures clean air and pure water. No poisons are sprayed, while water is sourced from an underground stream and enhanced by a water catalyser imported from Germany, and noise pollution is lessened by the absence of television sets and air-conditioning systems.

We are strongly focused on providing personalised attention to customer needs, and our restaurant, situated in the homestead, offers a set menu consisting of dishes created using ingredients that are always seasonal - a large portion of which are taken straight from our bio-dynamic garden. The cuisine can be described as fresh, creative, and natural, making use of home-grown vegetables, fruits, and herbs, as well as local products such as salmon trout and free-range duck breast. Meals may be enjoyed on the garden terrace and in the dining room. The menu is created daily, preceded by a glass of our own health-inspiring vinegar. We are also open to the public seven days a week. For the restaurant, please follow the signs leading to reception where secure parking is available.

The Rozendal Farm is also a great place for the family, where children can play and parents can relax. The farm animals and wildlife are also a great hit with guests of all ages.

The historical village of Stellenbosch is located at the heart of the Cape Winelands, offering you the ability to take in all the Cape has to offer.
