Great birthday weekend

We had a great stay at one of their self-catering units. Well equipped and positioned amongst some beautiful green scenery the retreat is in a well located area in Noordhoek which allowed us to explore the beach, nearby restaurants and surrounding towns. The pool area was also great and Eve and the team were very attentive. A great place to getaway for the weekend and explore Noordhoek and the surrounding towns. Highly recommended.

The hosts were extremely attentive especially in providing us with guidance on local bird watching features. The gardens and pool facilities were excellent.

Afton Grove was wonderful!!!!!! Both Chris and Leslie were delightful and their entire staff made us feel like we were right at home. We even got flowers when we went away for a day to a game reserve. It was just delightful and when we come back to Durban in April of 2008 we are hoping to have time to stop back in to CapeTown and stay with them. They were wonderful hosts and have a lovely home. Be treated to hospitality in this tranquil haven in rural Noordhoek, with all Cape Town’s attractions accessible within 30 minutes. 10 garden cottages and a Honeymoon Suite surround a peaceful two-acre lawned garden, with restful calm and bird song beckoning you to breakfast. Mature shady trees and a swimming pool invite relaxation.

This country retreat is perfectly suited to avid bird-watchers and anyone with a passion for nature, fresh air and open spaces. The garden list boasts over 100 bird species identified over the past 25 years, and a wetland birding site is within easy walking distance from the property. Relaxation comes naturally to those who stay in this friendly environment.

The Cape-style cottage units all contain an en-suite bathroom, with a choice of single or double beds. Each individually decorated cottage has personal touches with attention to detail including an honesty bar and private patio reflective of the country charm. Secure parking is provided behind a remote controlled gate. For those wanting greater independence there are three self-catering units, for two or three guests.
