An absolutely delightful guesthouse run by really nice friendly, dare I say "chatty" hosts, Brenda and Nigel. Nothing was too much trouble, an exceptionally well kept house, with which we could find nothing negative. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Awesome stay!

The hosts are the main attraction here. They are attentive, helpful, cook up a great breakfast and will help with car rentals, tours and more. The house is lovely, even though it does not have sea views. It is easy to find once you know the route. The only downsides was you really do need your own car, there are no taxis in Hout Bay, and the Internet connection in the rooms is weak.

We stayed here for a few nights during our trip to Cape Town. It was a very nice place to be! Absolutely quiet. Keep in mind you need a car to get around.

The guest house is absolutely beautiful and the service sublime. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Cape Town.

We had a lovely stay. Brendan and Nigel made us feel very much at home, they really did everything to ensure we had a relaxing time. We found their knowledge of the area very helpful and received great tips on places to eat and beaches to visit.

Brendan and Nigel were very accommodating. We appreciated that they worked around our arrival and departure dates and times and that they were willing to put two camper beds in the main room for us so that our children could be with us. Lovely views and great breakfast. Have recommended to friends.

I really enjoyed my four days at this guest house. I really need to stress the wonderful breakfast - and the view of course. Would love to come back very soon!

We had the most fabulous time at the Mountain Views Guest House. The hosts were welcoming and friendly - helped us with bookings and visiting all the must see spots. Everything there just oozed quality and luxury. I would definitely rate the place 100/10.

We had a brilliant week at Mountain Views. Our hosts, Brendon and Nigel, were fantastic and really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The B&B was stylish and well put together. Our room was spacious, clean, really well presented with a very comfortable bed and amazing shower room. It had some nice touches like a fridge which was stocked and a safe, pool towels and an air-conditioner. Breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble. The view was lovely. The pool and deck were fabulous and the sun lounges so comfortable. We loved our afternoon laze in the sun. Also, the pool is heated, so what a pleasure. We love staying at B&Bs because of the personal touch and Brendon and Nigel made us feel really welcome and comfortable which was wonderful. We would definitely stay there again. I couldn't complain about anything. 10 out of 10.

We could not have chosen a better place than the Mountain View Guest House to spend our holiday in Cape Town! Excellent location, very safe and peaceful, yet very close to all main attractions of Cape Town and surroundings. Cosy, warm house with stunning views, delicious breakfasts and charming, helpful hosts. Definitely the best spot in Hout Bay and an excellent way to visit the Western Cape.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay with Brendan and Nigel. The house was in a very secure area. It was also nice and quiet away from all main roads. The room itself was just perfect. Stunning shower, comfortable bed. Meals all round were fantastic, and breakfast was always something we looked forward to as it was special everyday. Nigel and Brendan were fantastic hosts. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Definitely the only choice when staying in Hout Bay.

We enjoyed our stay at mountain view, Nigel was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very small and we were disappointed we didn't have a lovely mountain view, however it was a great location for exploring surrounding area.

We arrived late in the evening after our wedding, but nonetheless were greeted warmly. The room was luxurious and romantic. Thanks very much.

Perfect location in quiet cul-de-sac with stunning view, can see where the name comes from. Rooms are beautiful and I fell in love with the shower. Nigel and Brendan guided us to the best spots and restaurants and we were 20 minutes drive from almost all the activities that Cape Town offers and the breakfast was great. Will definitely return.

The room and bathroom was superb, and we really enjoyed our stay. Would not hesitate to return at the next opportunity! Gotta be the best in Hout Bay!

We found the breakfast to be excellent and beyond our expectations. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Having breakfast around the table with other guest was an opportunity to meet new people. The guesthouse felt homely and comfortable whilst situated in a calm, quiet location with a great view of Hout Bay. The decor was African without being cliched. I enjoyed the special touch of the magazines, newspapes and other reading material that were made available, these small touches do make a great difference. The bar fridge & the towel warmer was a unexpected feature of the room!

We booked for 1 night and stayed 5. Brendon and Nigel are warm friendly hosts and went out of their way to get us tickets from Computicket. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend it. Guy's your'e No. 1

Ohhh !! Hard to describe how lovely and amazing stay it was in Cape Town!!! Just perfect !!! Perfect accommodation with incredible breakfast and lovely company of Nigel and Brendan!!! Perfect people, incredibly lovely and amazing !!! So much hospitable so much friendly!!! Rooms very very nice, great pool and garden, just perfect conditions to stay near to Cape Town, Hout Bay have a nice beach and restaurants, quite and safe!!! Thanks a lot guys for everything you did for us, for the best evenings we've got there and for that perfect african barbecue you made for us!!! I recommend this place always and for everyone!!! For sure i'll be back !!!

We received a warm welcome on arrival! Our stay was very comfortable, we enjoyed the food thoroughly! The swimming pool was appreciated considering the hot weather. The view is so fantastic. Nigel and Branden were very hospitable and accommodating with our comings and goings. We will definitely be going back to stay there!!

The Guest House is beautifully clean and extremely welcoming. Nigel and Brendan are wonderful hosts and we felt relaxed from the minute we arrived. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, modern and luxurious. The food was superb. Such a wonderful experience and Brendan and Nigel went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and were enjoying out stay. We had a great time and we feel we've made some very good friends. We will definitely be returning and will be recommending Mountain View to friends and family.
