Thank you to the owner and the staff. The air conditioning was not working and with no time they replaced it with a new unit. The rooms are clean and homely and the view breath taking. We had the mountain and sea view. The only thing is that the lounge will do with a fireplace it will be such a nice place for one to cuddle with a book. Overall my experience was awesome. We have been to this place years back and I can only say that we will be back again. Thank you

The room was comfortable but the downside for me was the bathroom. The basin plug needs to be replaced as all attempts to fill the basin failed. The welcome letter urged us to take a 2 minute shower. This was simply not possible as the water took forever to warm up and, when it did warm up, I found it very difficult set the correct temperature.

I just loved the guest house, nice view, nice people, clean rooms.

Very warm welcome and personal service. Because of cold weather, would have liked a mat next to the bed. Lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Would be happy to return.

De Molen is a quiet and peaceful place to spend a few days away from the mad city. The accommodation is comfortable with more than adequate space available.

After having an amazing stay at De Molen last month my partner and I returned with high expectations. These were not only met but exceeded, both in hospitality provided by a charming Davina, as well as the room which was romantically decorated with a tasteful African theme.

We not only spent our time in our room but sat in the comfortable and stately lounge area which evokes a sense of old world charm and status. The surroundings are peaceful and the pool area looks amazing for those hot summer days that are approaching.

I look forward to many getaways to this superb and excellently priced establishment both for the romantic Winter getaways and the Summer escapes to laze around the pool. Well done to the owners on getting it so right.

Warm hospitality, lovely setting. Luxury rooms overlook Cape Town - the stairs to access our room, were not a problem.

We had the pleasure of spending a romantic night away at De Molen Guesthouse. The hospitality and friendliness made us feel right at home and the room was perfect with the double volume and trusses adding to the enchantment.

The bathroom was stunning with an ample bath and shower, it also had underfloor heating which had been switched on in anticipation for us which was a lovely touch.

The views from our room were spectacular and even more so at night with the town below lit up. The finishes and touches like the fresh lemons and rosemary were all appreciated. My partner and I will definitely be returning again and again.

Very charming guest house in nice & calm setting. Overall an environment to relax with good connection to Stellenbosch and Somerset. The management is relying on trustworthy guest, which makes the stay like at home. Nice garden with lovely view towards Somerset. Breakfast is done with a lot of dedication.

For the second time we stayed at De Molen Guest House in Somerset West. It was a warm welcome back and the host and hostess were very friendly and helpful. They have done a lot to make De Molen more beautiful than the last time and have improved a lot of rooms. Their garden is beautiful and the rooms are well decorated. They even have a self-catering lodge now. It was a great place to be, during our trip through SA.

This is a beautiful place with a gorgeous view of mountains and sea, and large comfortable rooms. The breakfast on the patio every morning was delightful and tasty with fresh bread, eggs and fresh fruit and homemade jams. The hosts, a young Dutch couple, worked hard to make us feel comfortable. Delightful!
