We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room was clean, neat and tidy and generally the setting was beautiful. The breakfast was also great. The only thing that was not so cool was the signal of the TV that was very bad, the screen was very snowy all the time. But other than that all was really very enjoyable.

A lovely place in a absolutely quiet surrounding. Management and staff gives you the right feeling to be at home.

Superb breakfast, friendly staff and beautiful garden to relax in. Home away from home.

Everything was great, we will most definitely stay there again when we visit the area.

Loved the family room tucked away at the back of the house, didn't feel like our rambunctious boys would disturb anyone. Room was spacious and neat. A mini fridge might have been useful. Breakfast was top class, with lovely staff. Stunning bird life to watch over breakfast. Pool was icy-and don't think that changes throughout the year as it's completely in shade. But a lovely selection of kid friendly beaches nearby, and low tide was a super treat!

The room we stayed in needed a little bit of TLC but was very cute and comfortable. The thing that makes this place special though is the hospitality from the owner, the breakfast the next morning, the level of freedom and peace of mind from crime (really something amazing to experience), the surprise car wash and its location. Leisure isle feels like paradise with the picturesque semi-private lagoon looking into the knysna heads and the sunset makes it perfect for a little romantic time together. Love this place

our stay was lovely. The rooms well maintained and very comfortable. Tim was very thoughtful in ensuring a runners breakfast was available for us to have in our rooms before the very early start for the knysna forest marathon. Normal breakfasts were great and made fresh to order. We can definitely recommend Cuningham!

Its a lovely B&B. We ran the Knysna Marathon, so the owner got up at 5a.m. the morning to make breakfast for us which was really kind of him to do so. The place is attractive, comfortable, and clean. I would return for another stay when Im in the area again.

My stay at Cuninghams Island Guest House was super: the rooms are lovely, well serviced and comfortable. I liked how close to town it is, yet far enough away from the bustle to allow for a peaceful stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Cunninghams on Leisure Isle just for a night stopover on the way home and were treated like royalty. Tim went out of his way to make the room (family room - Highly recommended) feel like home and the breakfast in the morning was large and wholesome.
I then left my internet dongle (The Guesthouse has Wi-Fi) at the room, which Tim sent back to me via Post Net the very next day.
It was an excellent end to our holiday, Cunninghams is highly recommended.

We were warm-heartedly greeted by Tim who showed us around immediately. We did book a family room, however, thanks to the off-season; we were upgraded to a separate room for our son. We had the complete upper deck (seating area) for ourselves, which was very much appreciated.
The rooms are lovely decorated and very light, very good beds and a nice walk-in shower. Our son was very happy with wifi.
The breakfast was scrumptious, every morning. The lady who served it was very friendly and looked after us very well. Our car was also in good hands, as it was cleaned every day.
Altogether the place to be is at Leisure Island.
Thank you all for making our holiday to such a success, we will come back.

A beautiful holiday accommodation well presented and very comfortable with all anyone would need, breakfast was very substantial and well cooked and service was excellent. The garden was very secluded with plenty of bird life very relaxing, all in all a lovely all round holiday accommodation, plus the car wash every morning was a welcomed bonus

We recently stayed at Cunninghams in Knysna. We arrived late due to some miss directions but even though we arrived late in the evening we received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. The rooms were lovely and we had a good nights rest. Breakfast was amazing. When we left our car was washed, without our knowing. We will definitely return there when the possibility presents itself!!

A lovely establishment in a beautiful location. The rooms were very comfortable and everything was crisp and clean. Breakfast, (especially the hot croissants and delicious coffee), was superb, served in a lovely room overlooking the pool and gardens and entertained by a variety of exotic looking birds visiting the bird feeder. Loved the outdoor entertainment area where we could meet up with our travel companions and enjoy drinks from the well-stocked bar and enjoy the cosiness and warmth of the fire. A lovely touch. The staff who prepared and served our breakfast were polite and friendly and made up for the coolness of the owner. The guest house is situated in a lovely part of Knysna and we enjoyed the safety and freedom to walk around the isle day or night.

This was our second stay at Cuninghams Guest House on Leisure Island and as previously, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodation is very comfortable and relaxed and breakfast very good indeed. The guest house has the added bonus of a swimming pool in the very pleasant garden, which on this occasion we were able to take advantage of. Our host was extremely pleasant and very helpful when we needed directions or information. We would recommend the B & B to anyone wanting a very relaxed informal stay in the most lovely surroundings.

We would recommend this lovely guesthouse to anyone. Every need has been provided for and the breakfast is superb. Tim and his staff round your stay off with their cheerful friendliness and attention to detail. A most enjoyable stop-over and real value for money.

We recently stayed at this Guest House for 2 nights. The owner was very hospitable and the staff looked after us very well, including a really good cooked breakfast each morning to set us on our way. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Situated in a very picturesque part of Knysna; and easily accessible from the N2. I definitely recommend it.

It was like being overseas. No burglar bars and security cameras. Was fantastic to feel so free and secure. The staff are an absolute blessing. The owner just great. To be recommended for a laid back enjoyable time away from home.

Cunninghams was not the most modern in amenities but made up for that by its enchantment and the helpful pleasant attitude of the owner and his staff. I would stay there again and it gave a nice colonial atmosphere to our holiday.

We stayed at Cunninghams for 2 nights - had an excellent time. the guest house is lovely, modern, very clean and the rooms were huge! - well recommended. Breakfast was great with fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast, pastries, bacon, eggs etc! The owner Tim was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. He can recommend restaurants and will also book taxis for you. The guest house is a 5 minute drive away from Knysna's main town but there are restaurants nearer.

Great value for money. Room was clean, well decorated, very comfortable and private. We loved the breakfast every morning - especially the freshly baked croissants! We spent 3 nights at Cuninghams Island. It was very pleasant: the room are very comfortable, the place very quiet and the breakfast very good too. The owner was kind and hospitable. All to make a good stay! We love Leisure island too: its like a garden of Eden: beautiful, quiet and safety and not too far from Knysna (but need a car).

Nous adorons aussi Leisure island : cest comme un paradis terrestre : beau, calme et sûr et pas trop loin de Knysna (mais une voiture est nécesaire)

Thank you very much – Cuningham's Island Guest House is a very relaxing setting which is well managed by very friendly hosts and guest friendly staff. It is also nicely positioned as it still is relatively close to Knysna but not too central.

Driftwood -white veranda and rooms, banana-leaf emerald-green garden, sun-splashed lapis lazuli pool, discreet but friendly service, a quiet night of sleep in white sheets. We reached this lovely guesthouse via a raised causeway which is higher when the tide is out! There are two islands like this in the Knysna \lagoon\"

For us Cuningham’s Island Guest House is very lovely and we liked it very much. If you come to South Africa, we recommend you visit Hermanus and stay at Cuningham’s Island Guest House.

We enjoyed the warm hospitality from Tim and his team! The facilities and service were great. We also loved the holiday atmosphere...to be in another world!

Great location and a pleasant sizeable room. The host is very pleasant and was very helpful and welcoming. A convenient setting - away from the madding crowd. A nice touch was having the bar available and we enjoyed a very good breakfast. We can highly recommend Cuningham’s Island Guest House.

My Husband and I had a wonderful time at the Guest House, we got more than we expected. The rooms were neat and clean and also wide space of the room we Loved it. The Host and His staff were very friendly to us, we felt at home.

A well run organisation in a beautiful setting. The room we were given was excellent and the owner and staff were caring. A lovely freshly cooked breakfast was presented in the morning and we wish we could have lingered longer.

We really enjoyed our stay and we were made to feel very welcome by Tim on arrival. Our bedroom was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The island itself is very quiet, contributing to a peaceful atmosphere.

There are 2 really good restaurants in walking distance. Tides serving particularly impressive food.

We stayed at Cunnigham for just a night... But it was really enjoyable. Vanessa is especially nice and very helpful. The room was clean and Knysna, as a town, is lovely. I would recommend it!

Very good accommodation. We stayed in the standard bedroom which was very nice with good shower/bathroom. Weather wasnt very hot when we stayed but lack of AirCon could be a problem.
Garden and pool were excellent, with an honesty bar available pool side.

What a weekend! We have never seen a place so peaceful, romantic and gentle in our young lives! Mr. Tim Cunningham because of your great hospitality and friendliness wedding bells might be ringing sooner than anticipated. It was a pity we had to leave before time but already I have spread the word to close family and friends about this magnificent establishment. Keep it up Mr. Cunningham we need people like yourself in the accommodation industry.

Excellent guest house, we had a very large bed/sitting room. Bathroom/shower was a bit old fashioned but very serviceable.

Owner was very welcoming and staff ensured we were well looked after, indeed Mr. Cunningham had pre arranged golf at Pezula for us.

We would certainly return if in the area again.

My wife thought Cuningham's was magical, with the lit up garden at night. My son loved the pool!The rooms were clean and friendly and the service was excilent. Breakfast was very good.

We had a very pleasant stay at this Guest House. They have very good facilities although we did not have the time to use the pool. We had a very spacious well equipped room, with plenty of wardrobe space. Breakfast each morning was excellent.
