Loved everything. Wonderful .

Pool was not clean. The rooms had faults and unfinished work. The key hole cover was falling out whenever we closed the doors. The bathrooms have lime stains. Sink too small . Lighting very poor between the apartments. There is an unfriendly dog on the property which is not conducive for children. No access control therefore safety not guaranteed.

A bit over priced, I would recommend a per night price not per person. For 4 nights for my husband and my 4 kids over R11 000 . Otherwise it’s very neat, tidy and quite end of town.

We loved our stay at Ingwenya Lodge, the staff was friendly and the place was kept clean everyday. Madeleine was very helpful and friendly with a big hart. Our pets loved the 2km walk in walking distance from the lodge. We where close to the beach, restaurants, shops and things to do like the hippo and croc boat cruise, game drives, cheese farm and many more. We do recommend Ingwenya Lodge and will be returning very soon.

The 2 bedroom self catering unit had ample space. The facilities were kept clean and the units were in good condition. Definitely worth making your base of operations.

IT WAS QUITE AND EVERYTHING WAS VERY CLEAN. MADELEINE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL AND SHE WALKS THE EXTRA MILE. IT WAS WONDERFULL THAT MY BABIES COULD COME WITH. PET FRIENDLY WILL DEFINITLY BE MY NEXT HOLIDAY AGAIN.

Enjoyed our time spent there. Received a friendly welcome and were shown to our unit. We were given a brochure of the layout of St Lucia and shown recommended places to visit and things to do if we wanted to. Our unit was clean, tidy and nicely presented for our arrival, and it had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Well-equipped, comfortable accommodation. Our host was friendly and accommodating. Any requests were responded to timeously, she offered us a larger unoccupied room and gave us useful information of the area.

Our stay at Ingwenya Lodge was lovely, Madeleine was so friendly and helpful upon our arrival. would recommend this place to anyone as we would definitely be going back there soon.

We stayed from the 11-13 July at the lodge. The place is nice and clean and very quiet.
We would go and visit again, even the dogs took a liking to us.

The booking, check-in and check-out procedures were all seamless. I received prompt replies and got accurate information. The unit we stayed in was spacious and perfectly suitable for two couples and grown children. The Lodge is situated fairly deep in suburbia but once you are there, you realise that you are close to the water and the sounds of hippo and birds transport you to another world.

The unit was clean and comfortable. Madelaine the owner was friendly and advised me on place to visit. Definitely will book again and will recommend the lodge.

This was one of the best places I've been to, and will definitely be going back soon. facilities are top class, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We were there for only 2 nights, but we enjoyed it. Our hostess was very friendly and welcoming, and our room was perfect. We would stay there again anytime!

Unfortunately our stay at Ingwenya Lodge was only for one night but we found our unit nicely decorated and very comfortable with good air-conditioning. We didn't like the plastic mattress protectors on the single beds though.

Our stay at Ingwenya Lodge was satisfactory. We were however not impressed with the condition of the Mfolozi unit. It was dirty, and most of the dishes etc, were old and broken. We also could not get a late check out as we were told that another guest was arriving, which doesnt bode well for their hospitality.

We had a great stay at Ingwenya Lodge. The unit we stayed in was lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you to the friendly staff and we will stay there again for sure.

We were extremely happy with our spacious apartment and were very comfortable for our two night stay. The kitchen is huge and I loved the big fridge/freezer. Staff are extremely courteous and helpful and the owner very knowledgable about his locality. The dogs are not a problem and we grew fond of the black labrador. The pool looked lovely but was too cold for us to use at this time of year. Fixtures and fittings are not five star but the two loos more than made up for that and the apartment was very clean on arrival. We felt it was very good value for the prices charged and we are happy to recommend this establishment. Hope you are luckier than us and get to see the hippos who occasionally drink out of the pool!

We stayed at the room with the kitchen downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. Downstairs was small, but okay. Upstairs was great and romantic, with a great view! Private parking and a friendly host!

We are teachers in South Korea. We only come home to South Africa once a year to visit our adult children. This year we decide to go to St. Lucia for one week. It was just awesome. We enjoyed the accommodation and all the information given to us by the helpful staff. The house was clean and well kept and they even came to clean on Sunday. There were lots of things to do every day and to our pleasant surprise the hippos came passed our house late at night. It was awesome to stand at the gate and watch them pass.

We had a very nice stay in St Lucia. Our hosts were very friendly an helpful. Our accommodation Mpate had everything we need.

Very nice view of St Lucia. Love the town and people and sea. Disappointing to see the actual unit Imboniso looks nothing like the units on Ingwenya Lodges' website. Air-conditioning was restricted to the living room only and due to the current water restrictions between 6 and 8 daily; bathing, cooking and using toilets were very challenging for a family of 8, inclusive of two toddlers.

We enjoyed ourselves and this place is a must come back.

Accommodation was comfortable, clean and adequate.

We really enjoyed staying here. We loved the little personal care that was provided.
Oh and we loved the view!

Friendly hosts Barend & Madeleine made us all feel relaxed and at home. Beautiful views of St Lucia from our unit. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice and tidy self catering apartment in St. Lucia. Very close to town center, to restaurants and to tourist attractions. Martha was nice to us and very helpful in planning our days there.

We stayed at Ingwenya Lodge in St Lucia. The beds were very comfortable and the verandah has beautiful Seaviews. We were stressed out when we arrived but the Ingwenya Lodge really helps you to relax and gives you a holiday feeling. The Lodge also has a beautiful new swimming pool with night lights. Everything was very nice and it is the perfect place to stay if you want to go to Cape Vidal or the Umfolozi/Hhluluwe Game Reserve and see the Hippos & Crocs at St Lucia....

It was superb, fantastic, we really enjoyed our stay . The place was perfect for the two of us we really had a great time.

Good and simple lodge, for the price it was perfect and the owner of the lodges is friendly, and he helps you with every thing, good location, and St Lucia is nice for one week

You can go walking along the lagoon or go to the center without fear. The lodge is very well placed and very well equipped. In addition, Barend booked for us a morning safari, a boat trip and gave us lots of good advice (visits, restaurants, ...). Everything was perfect. Only time has not been part because there were a lot of wind but there was nothing Barend.

Ingwenya Lodge is a nice place, it is very clean, and the service they offer is very nice. We really enjoyed it.

The surroundings are beautiful, the walk to the lake refreshing.

The setting was good and the owners friendly. The place needs better maintenance however.

We enjoyed our stay, the shower/bathroom was small, the view excellent, the only problem was the cooking utensils - the pan was rusted!

Very nice and relaxing. Igwenya Lodge was very well equipped and the hosts were very welcoming.

The premises of the Lodge are utilitarian, the bathrooms need a renovation and the cookware of the kitchen is poor. But the Mfolozi apartment is comfortably large and the garden and the pool are very nice and the view gorgeous. The two young dogs can be annoying, since they are quite clingy and like to play with everything.

Comfortable accommodation and pet friendly. Kept very clean, really felt spoilt not having to do dishes or clean the braai. Lovely view with quiet surroundings and close to all facilities. File in unit with all the happenings and things to do in St Lucia, no need to visit the Tourist information.

The Hluhluwe unit was very comfortable and had a great view. The cleanliness of the unit needs particular mention, and the braai was spotless. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bird life was wonderful. We had an excellent 3 night stay and will return if we are ever in St Lucia again.

St Lucia town itself was most impressive, with really excellent retaurants and no obvious litter. We are proud that it shows itself off so well to all the foreign tourists we saw there.

Set in the leafy suburbs of St, Lucia, Ingwenya Lodge was a peaceful haven away from the busy centre of the town. The Mfolosi unit which we had was perfectly located; beside the pool which kept the children happy and with views over the tropical forest to the distant coast for the adults to rest their eyes. The unit was very spacious for a family of 6. The furnishings were a bit dated and the bathrooms could do with some modernisation. However this did not take from the overall comfort of the lodge. The hosts were very helpful and friendly.

We stayed at Ingwenya Lodge during June/July 2006. Reasonably priced and clean accommodation. St Lucia is a great place for a family getaway. Guest privacy is however not Ingweya's strong point. The unit was also fairly small, as opposed to similar establishments in St Lucia and surrounds. Oh yes, there is a sea view from the bottom unit, but only if you stand on your tippy-toes. No estuary view though

The owners are great received a warm welcome.

No complaints about our visit for the period 28/5/2007 up to 7/6/2007. We will definitely make use of this lodge in future and promote this facility to our friends who intend to visit St.Lucia. Thanks, to Barend and his staff's hospitality during our stay and accommodating us in the "Hluhluwe" unit!!

We had a very pleasant stay at Ingwenya Lodge. The only negative remark that I would like to make is that the stairs leading to the unit is very narrow and makes it difficult to use however, this must please be seen as positive feedback as they are in the process of revamping all units.
Overall a very nice venue that will certainly see us again.

Very clean, very beautiful view and surrounds. Small critique - my pillows were very thin and no spares were provided (I didn't ask for any, however,as my stay was only 2 nights). Refurbishment is busy taking place, and I am convinced this is an establishment soon to be reckoned with! The hosts were friendly and cooperative, and did not even blink when I explained my breakage of 2 glasses!
