Excellent place to stay when travelling to the Kruger Park from KZN. Extremely well decorated and furnished rooms and very friendly owners who treated us as old friends

The accommodation is provided by a very nice People. Very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We were spoiled by fruity breakfast. Thank you for the beautiful stay!

Warm reception, comfortable room, good food. Adding a closing door to the shower/toilet would have been welcomed.

Although a short stay it was remarkable. Everything went perfect with the engagement and we really enjoyed our stay there. We can only recommend.

Bit disappointed at no air-con or fridge. Cleanliness and room very good, food excellent.
The perfect start to a holiday

This was the first stop on a family trip to the eastern game reserves and the coast. After an all night flight and a long drive made worse by all the roadworks, we arrived rather frazzled. But the owner and his staff were so kind, the place absolutely beautiful, with very comfortable rooms and secure parking, sensible recommendations for dinner for our young children, and a delicious breakfast. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!
Excellent

We had a very pleasant experience and will make sure we tell all our friends, one of the best guesthouses around. The chef might need a slight bit more experience, the dinner was well presented but needed a bit more taste.
Our stay at Welgekozen Country Lodge
Caroline Andrews, South Africa - 22 December 2009
We loved the nice spacious room and lovely big bathroom at Welgekozen Country Lodge. We would recommend this B&B to friends passing through Piet Retief. Two items which we felt would further enhance the appeal of staying at Welgekozen Country Lodge: - Offer guests an evening meal, particularly as you have a great chef in the kitchen - Improve the security on the front entrance eg: security controlled access gate and a guard to patrol around the grounds at night
Good overnight stay

This was a very fancy place, and easy to find right off the road. The rooms were very nice, and good dining was very close. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
Comfortable
Richard Bryant, South Africa - 04 April 2009
It was comfortable for an overnight stay, except for being in the closest room to the main road

Betty & Bob, Although our stay was not very long, we would like to say we felt really welcome in your home, it is a home away from home, with a lot of Dutch things (tegeltjes aan de wand, etc) around us. The room was lovely, spacious with a deluxe bathroom and a big bed. Betty, I hope you have a nice stay in Holland with your family.
Great stay!

After a long trip from the Kruger Park to Piet Retief, it was a real pleasure to have a rest during one night with Bob & Betty. The dinner was smashing, the bedroom very lovely, and the breakfast prepared by bob : "un regal"!!!
