A Week in May!

I could not have chosen better for my purposes which was to revisit Kommetjie where my family lived in the '70's, and to walk...the beaches, the village, the mountain and the cat walk. The accommodation was spot on, spacious and relaxing for a seaside holiday. Lovely. Thanks Patricia - will be back if I get the chance!

Lighthouse Way
Discover the laid back feel of this little village in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere, where guinea fowl and francolin arrive morning and evening to be fed. Milkwoods, aloes and fynbos attract a large variety of birds to the garden and the mountain behind us offers a birds eye view of the village and awesome sunsets.

Watch the surfers at the “Kom”, or walk along the catwalk to watch the locals catching crayfish in season. Visit Slangkop Lighthouse, the tallest on the S.A. Coast, which is just down the road. We are in close proximity to Table Mountain National Park (TMNP), which encompasses the incredibly scenic Table Mountain Chain stretching from Signal Hill in the north to Cape Point in the south and the seas and coastline of the peninsula.

We offer the downstairs of our home; which is very private with its own entrances - a garden apartment with two inter leading bedrooms, queen size bed and two single beds. There are two bathrooms; one with large shower and the other with one bath, a kitchenette and sitting room with TV. The kitchenette contains a microwave, two-plate stove with oven and grill and braai facilities are available. There is a patio and garden features as well as safe off-street parking. Linen and bath towels are provided.

We are very close to the Slangkop Lighthouse as well as four restaurants that are within 1 km and a coffee shop and deli. Come and spend an outdoor weekend in Kommetjie whether it be hiking, cycling or surfing or simply enjoy the sea air and sound of the birds.
