Lovely accommodation. Neat and clean and in a quiet part of George.

However the hospitality of the husband and wife (owners) was poor. Did not feel welcome at all.

Establishments Response:

Thank you for your review on the stay at Edenwood. However, regarding the negative comment under hospitality, in order that future readers may fully understand the “other side”,  we need to advise what actually transpired that made for such a comment.

During your stay in Wiltshire, the three bedroom-bathroom S/C unit, both cottages on either side of your unit were full with international guests, who complained to the us, the owners, that you were seen shooting a rifle in the evenings into the gardens between them and yourselves. Following this we requested you to not shoot into the gardens-on the property, due to safety of other guests and residents in the area. However, when this continued at 10pm the very next night with the sounds of the shots hitting beer cans, you were requested to leave the premises and receive a full refund or lock away the rifle. As grown adults, you were advised if neither option offered were complied with, due to your belligerent response it would leave us with no choice but to call the police and lay a charge.

Thus it is with regret that you sadly cannot understand, as indicated in your review, that you felt unwelcome, in that as four grown up men, your inappropriate actions were the reason for us thus being placed in the embarrassing situation of having to speak with you about your unsafe and immature behaviour, whist staying at a high quality accommodation establishment in a quiet residential area, and shared with others, in this case from overseas, who are now left with the impression of this being typical South African mannerisms.

An absolutely beautiful B&B. The bed was ultra comfortable and all our needs were catered for. Stunning views from the balcony. This was worth every cent we paid - I was just sorry our stay was so brief.
Beautiful location

Edenwood is beautifully situated on the edge of the forest with a lovely garden and pool though our trip was washed out by the rain. Made very welcome by our hostesses, comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Recommended.
Extremely enjoyable stay.

Edenwood is an amazing bed and breakfast place in George, we couldnt ask for more, this place is better than a posh four star property where service, friendliness, space and quality standards are issues. Dawn is an excellent host and she takes care of everything right up your smallest queries. I have no hesitation in recommending Edenwood to my friends, family and anyone who wants to enjoy their stay in George
