The accommodation was beautiful,tidy and neat. The pool is great for family time as you can relax outdoors and have a braai as well. The owner pays great attention to detail and caters for every need. Overall it is a very comfortable and cosy place to stay at and I would highly recommend to everyone to try it out. I enjoyed the 2 days at Zulani Guest House very much, especially June’s warm welcome and concern that everything was just perfect. The room is very nice and very clean and well-equipped, the house is just beautifully designed and well kept, and the breakfast was excellent. It is a good and safe place to start all the activities in St Lucia and surroundings.

So glad we chose Zulani, from the moment we arrived we had the best stay. June and Garry are fantastic hosts. The rooms are lovely and the breakfasts \to die for\"! June is so knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had and able to advise on the best places to visit and restaurants to try in town. We will definitely return when we next go to St Lucia

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Zulani Guest House. June was an excellent host who looked after us all and made our stay special as nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were varied and delicious. We would highly recommend it!

We stayed for 3 nights at the Zulani Guest House and found it to be an excellent place to stay while in St. Lucia. Our hosts were most welcoming and could not do enough to make our stay very memorable. The accommodation is excellent together with all the additional add on facilities. We would highly recommend the Zulani Guest House and we will certainly stay there again when we visit St. Lucia.
The English breakfasts are as good as you can get anywhere.

The accommodation was first class and we were made to feel at home form the moment that we arrived. The property is located in a quiet street a short walk from town and is very well appointed.

On our recent visit to South Africa, my husband and I stayed at Zulani Guest House. We were only in St Lucia for one night, but Zulani host, June, did everything possible to make our stay a hassle-free and enjoyable one - from a complimentary glass of wine/beer on arrival, to pre-booking our hippo and croc tour; from discount vouchers for local restaurants, to info about walks in iSimangaliso; June even went to the trouble of preparing a packed breakfast for us when she found out we'd need to be on the road for Swaziland at 5am. June really was the host with the most. I would thoroughly recommend Zulani Guest House to anyone staying in St Lucia.

A thoroughly enjoyable few days in a well appointed friendly guest house. The owner, June, and her staff could not have done more to make our stay memorable. The breakfast is one of the best we have had in SA. I would have no hesitation in recommending Zulani to friends and relations.

Stayed 5 nights at Zulani and it was great - very comfortable and relaxing. The 4 themed rooms [I stayed in the Rhino room which was very nice including ensuite shower room] are arranged around a fair sized pool. Breakfasts were always very good with a fresh fruit salad to start cereals etc then cooked breakfast. A key part of enjoying my stay was Junes hospitality and friendly, helpful attitude. I would definitely return - recommended!

My husband and I loved our stay in Zulani. June, our hostess was thoroughly efficient and extremely friendly. She clearly loves St Lucia and gave us helpful advice on what we must see there. This is a well run guest house with a calm, relaxed atmosphere. It also had an internet connection which we appreciated. The breakfast was good.

June and Gary must have the best Guesthouse in St. Lucia. We couldn't fault it. We stayed there for five nights and wish we could have stayed longer. It's in a superb location, near the shops and restaurants and a three minute walk from the estuary. There is so much to do but with June as your host everything can be organised within minutes. June cooks the most delicious breakfasts so that you get a good start to your day. We have returned home to England with so many fond memories of St.Lucia and June and Gary's wonderful hospitality. I was traveling as a family with my Daughter and her Husband. The stay was very enjoyable with a good breakfast to start of the day. We will return.

We had a lovely stay at the Zulani Guest House. The location was really convenient for the local restaurants and shops and only a half hour drive from Cape Vidal. The Guest room we stayed in was of a high standard, spacious and we had great service from our host. The outside area /pool would benefit from more regular maintenance

Great support in terms of activity arrangements

The rooms were thoughtfully decorated with the little extra touches that are always appreciated such as tissues, chocolates, soaps. tea and coffee etc. The breakfast was lovely with such a variety of food which kept us going for the day. Thank you for a lovely stay - shame it was only one night.

We had a great stay at the Zulani. It was quiet, comfortable and relaxing. Breakfasts on the patio were delicious. June was a marvellous hostess and did everything she could to help make our stay a memorable one. We were reluctant to leave.

We were given the honeymoon suite as an extra. Rooms very nice and host was very helpful by arranging trips and providing details of suitable places to eat.

We couldnt think of a better place to stay in St Lucia. Visiting as part of our honeymoon, we had a great welcome, including suggestions of places to eat and places to visit. We were even able to book and pay for our hippo and crocodile boat trip direct with the guest house, making the visit even easier. The room was superb - the bedroom is spacious, the paintings on the wall were superb, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom included a jacuzzi - ideal for honeymooners. The breakfast was excellent - plentiful fruit, cereal and yoghurt and a cooked breakfast made to order. They were even happy to accommodate the needs of an early start for bird watching, with a later breakfast on return. Highly recommended for a visit - whatever your reasons for staying in St Lucia - and superb value for money.

Zulani is a beautiful and comfortable guest house. June the owner is very helpful regarding activities in the area. Unfortunately, we only had 1 day in St Lucia but if we ever return to SA we will definitely plan to stay at Zulani for at least 3 days!

After two weeks of bushveld safari we enjoyed the comfortable furnishings of Zulani's and the warm and familiar atmosphere. It was amazing quality and hospitality considering the affordable cost. We got the room with the Jacuzzi, just beside the pool. The quality of the decor was extremely high and room extremely spacious, it was just a pity we had only one night there. The hostess was amazing and having everything we needed for the beach on hand. Breakfast was fantastic, sitting outside on the deck. If we are ever in that part of the country again it would be top of our list to revisit it.

Zulani Guest House was a superb choice! The owner, June, gave us personal attention above and beyond. In addition to the wonderful breakfasts she prepared and all the arrangements she made as a personal travel guide, she took and picked up my daughter and myself to horseback riding since my husband is allergic to horses. We were spoiled by staying in the main guest house since we had our 10 year old daughter with us. The house was HUGE, clean, and very comfortable. The location was also a plus. It was 1 street off the main strip- so, close enough to walk everywhere, yet off of the main road. Also, it was across the street from a nature trail and had no one but Mother Nature as a neighbor. It was my fathers birthday and after a trip on the Estuary we returned to Champagne and chocolate cake! We were made to feel so welcome and at home.

Zulani Guest House was absolutely a pleasure! We were treated great by the owner and even allowed to borrow equipment for the beach! We used mountain bikes that belong to the house, too! It is located within walking distance of everything, and is really quiet! The room was beautiful and clean and we greatly enjoyed everything about our stay! We would stay again.

My friend and I, who are out from the States for the year to volunteer in South Africa, decided to leave Limpopo to spend a few days at the beach. We were so pleased with both Zulani and St. Lucia. Zulanis owner, June, was so friendly and accommodating, and we had plenty of space to relax and air conditioning to keep us cool.

Zulanis location is perfect for anyone staying in St. Lucia. The nearby beaches were absolutely beautiful and it was ideal to be in a town where we could safely walk at night. There is plenty to do in the are, but its also the perfect place to get some rest and relaxation. I would definitely stay at Zulani if I find myself in St. Lucia again.

We spent three nights at Zulani as part of our three week honeymoon in South Africa. We had a fantastic time, and count those days as a highlight of the whole trip. The owners, June and Gary, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. To start off, we were upgraded from our booked honeymoon suite to a separate, fantastic bungalow with private pool and lots of extra space. A bottle of South African champage was chilling in the fridge for us, and we knew we were in for a treat when we stepped into a palatial bathroom with a lovely large bathtub (in which said champagne was enjoyed!). We went on an estuary cruise, spotting lots of hippos, crocs and birds, and also an early morning kayak trip on the estuary (scintillating, as you got so close to the animals--and a bit scary for the same reason!). The croc centre was well worth a visit, as was a trip to Cape Vidal, both for the beaches and the animal life (June and Gary lent us beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler and a body board, all of which made the day on the beach very pleasant). One night we went on a night drive on our own (having been lent a powerful 'spotting' light by our hosts), and spotted three huge hippos grazing 200 yards from the house. All in all, we had a wonderful time. June and Gary really went out of their way to be helpful, and they could not have been kinder. June helped us organise all the tickets/trips that we wanted, made good recommendations, and cooked us some terrific breakfasts. Zulani has a really nice, personal vibe to it, and St. Lucia is great as a base for exploring lots of the surrounding area. We definitely plan on coming back.

Couldn't have asked for anthing better. Just a pity we stayed only one night...next time I know.

My stay at Zulani was absolutely marvellous, starting with a complimentary drink on the verandah, whilst going through the details (most welcome after a long journey) June was a fabulous hostess and 'went the extra mile' to ensure that myself and all of the other guests enjoyed their stay, I was amazed when I got ready for an early start game drive (4.30am) and found that June had already got up, to ensure that I had a hot coffee and snacks to take with me on my trip!! I will definitely be returning to Zulani on my next visit to South Africa and have already recommended the establishment to other travellers.
