Awesome nature - the Mouth is healing!

It is one of the most beautiful places on this earth. The roads are rugged and very sandy, so you need a strong vehicle, but what a pleasure to see all these beautiful spots. You can get a guide for the day to show you the way to all the nice spots. The water is lovely and soft to swim in. One isn't always sure of possible dangers. There is pollution at 2nd Lane? Where they work the fish, many plastics etc. Maybe they need to be made aware.

You must be well prepeared to stand in line for permits to enter the beach area. We were to late and all permits were issued, only a few per day. Went a boat trip with Kosi Bay Lodge wich made our stay nice. Will not recomend for a stay longer than 2 days.

Kosi Bay in is a wonderful alternative to Sodwana. It's about 80km away and easily accessible by good tar roads. It's quieter and more personal with excellent snorkelling and beautifully untouched beaches.

This is one of the most unspoilt areas I have seen in South Africa and something one must visit. The snorkelling was fantastic and we saw box fish, blue spotted mantas and thousands of other fish.
In general we had a good time and enjoyed the beaches, lakes and the coastel forest.

The Mouth is spectacular and the other beaches are awesome, if you can find them. You need a 4x4 to access some areas.
