Aloe Manor

Aloe Manor is situated in the little country town of Parys which lies on the southern banks of the Vaal River, approximately an hour’s drive from Johannesburg. What makes Parys an interesting place to visit is that it is situated within the Vredefort Dome area - the place of the oldest and largest meteorite impact site in the world.

The Aloe Manor country-style house offers three bedrooms with one en-suite bathroom and one shared bathroom. Features include a fully equipped kitchen with a small dining table, and a lounge with a TV with M-Net and local channels. The Aloe Cottage comprises an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, a sitting area with two three-quarter beds and a TV with M-Net and local channels. Features include a full bathroom, a beautiful garden, a small paved courtyard and an outdoor table set under a lovely tree.

There are some lovely hiking trails in and around the town and up in the surrounding countryside. The town is scattered with art, antique and coffee shops and you can also do river rafting, abseiling and 4x4 routes as part of the line-up of activities available. However, it’s the geological wonders of the Vredefort Dome that are without a doubt the stars of the show.
