Facilities

A privately situated cottage has a veranda overlooking a dam which attracts local birds and two eco-friendly apartments all with stunning views of the Maskam and Gifberg Mountains. Located 6 km from N7 and 10 km from Vanrhynsdorp, we offer warm hospitality, good service, comfortable accommodation and delicious meals. It is the ideal place to unwind and a welcome oasis for travellers on the N7.

During winter and spring, the farm is a kaleidoscope of color with flowers. The pH level of the soil is what makes this area so unique for a diversity of flowers including the Nama-Karoo flowers, such as succulents, mountains Fynbos, as well as rare species of bulbs. Mountain bikes are available for the energetic individuals, and a wonderful trip can also be made through the veld on horseback.

Pony and trekker rides are available for the children as well as interaction with the various farm animals. The mountain can also be accessed on foot or by means of the 4x4 trial.

What a lovely place to visit! 10 out of 10. Great scenery. Beautiful little house, neat, clean and delicious food. We can truly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the area. Home from home. The warm and friendly hosts were very accommodating and made us feel absolutely welcome. Thank you for being pet friendly.

It was a great experience at the farm. Totally remote from the busy city/town environment. The lady who operates the farm houses and her husband are extremly frindly and accomodative. They have got a good idea of its sorrounding area. Only negative is the congrested inner layout of the eco guest house. Also GPS cordinates provided in the web page do not guide correctly from N7 nor town.

Semi-detached house forming a family unit which is part of the eco-friendly approach we pride our accommodation on. This unit is family or group friendly and awakens the great outdoor feeling in guests. They comprise one-bedroom with a double and single bed and the other bedroom sleeps two single beds, shower only bathroom, living/dining room with a cosy fire for the cold winter nights. The geyser stove and fridge are gas operated and lighting, charging of cell phones, Laptop and Television is via solar generation. Hair dryers are unfortunately not allowed as this interferes with the power distribution. Wonderful views from the patio over the Maskam and Gifberg Mountains enhance the natural appeal of these units. Sleep five guests.

Eco-friendly house has the old world feeling. This house has two-bedrooms, one double and single and other double bed, bathroom with shower and open-plan kitchen and sitting room with fireplace. An added delight is oil lamps for those that are romantically inclined. Solar energy provides electricity for TV, lighting, cell phone charging and laptop. Unfortunately no hairdryers. This unit lends itself very well for the flower season visitors or weekend getaway guests. If quiet is your thing, nature your fix, then this is for you. Sleep five guests.
