We were blown away by the accommodation at Hillside Executive Accommodation. The flatlet was spotless, spacious and well equipped.

I booked for 6 people in the 2 bedroom unit. We only got bedding and towels for 4. There was a safe in the bedroom, but it couldn't lock and was just lying loose in one of the bedroom cupboards. We found previous guests cool drink and water bottles under the beds which make me wonder how the units get cleaned.
The light in the lounge wasn't working and the lamp in the lounge corner didn't even have a bulb in it. don't book an unit on the street side. It is very noisy throughout the night.
Other than that the units are spacious and modern. If the little things are attended to HILLSIDE could be recommendable!
We will handle each issue separately
Issue: The guests could have called the after hour number on the outside of the reception or mentioned the shortage of linen to our 24hour security guard and our residential manager would have sorted it out in no time. We strive to give the best service and be accessible to guests when they need it.
Issue 2: All our safes are fitted and fastened in the bedroom cupboards. We recently did some repairs on that specific cupboard and the contractor failed to fasten the safe. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. All safes are checked for battery power with each new booking. This is also a matter that could easily have been sorted by reporting the problem.
Issue 3: All beds are moved around and get cleaned underneath before new guests arrive. We have a check list that must be ticked to assure everything is done as far as cleaning is concerned. We are aware of the fact that cleaners may slip up from time to time but we try our very best to keep a high standard at all times.
Issue 4: The lounge ceiling fan, remotes must be switched on and off at the wall-switch first. This issue is communicated when the guests check in, but this specific guest checked in after hours and was not informed about this. We regularly replace faulty remotes. We apologise for the missing bulb.
Issue 5: We have many satisfied customers coming back to specific units in the mentioned “A Block” because of their extra spacious rooms. I guess for some people the street noise is more of a problem than for others. The bedrooms in this block are also not facing the street and should therefore not have street noise through the night.

Excellent accommodation for unbelievably cheap price!
Was a little worried as to why it was so cheap in comparison to other similar places in the area, but Hillside exceeded all our expectations! We had also stayed at the hilton in windhoek previously and were quite disappointed in the rooms and service given we had paid almost USD200. For a fraction of the price, we were much happier with Hillside Executive Accommodation! Very clean, new, big rooms, 24hr security guard at front gate, 24hr petrol station right across the road to buy water/drinks/snacks... Would go back without hesitation if i ever returned to Namibia.
