The Goederust is indeed a luxury home away from home only 5 km from the village. We offer two beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished cottages nestled in a quiet and relaxed setting and a stone's throw from beautiful vineyards that draws the eye to the magnificent Drakenstein Mountain range.
There are two luxurious en-suite bed and breakfast cottages overlooking mountains and vineyards in a very quiet and relaxed setting. Our farm kitchen makes traditional South African cuisine with a country-style flair. We have a comfortable open-air fire/boma facility with a central fireplace for those hot summer evenings under the stars. The boma is ideal for private, self-catering functions, including birthday parties and family events.
The Goederust Restaurant is 200 m from the cottages and serves a-la-carte meals in a renovated wine cellar with spacious inside and verandah seating. The restaurant specializes in traditional South African home cooking and is a popular venue for functions and weddings. We have a Sunday spitbraai feast that is not be missed. The country atmosphere evokes peace and restfulness while the rich aromas make this whole experience even more unique. Franschhoek is one of the most beautiful wine valleys in the world and South Africa’s wine capital. This is also a perfect conference venue for up to 60 delegates.
