Just 10 minutes outside of town, Daniella and her husband provide a relatively inexpensive and value-oriented respite for travelers making a way station of Bulawayo.
I reserved a small room and was able to get a second bed. The rooms are incredibly clean, and are appointed with carpeting, decent beds, wicker furniture and ample lighting. There are also a couple wicker chairs on the veranda of the rooms. The shower I used had amazing water pressure and had HOT water.
Daniella's husband made breakfast the following morning, served in a weather-proofed Boma across the courtyard. I didn't have the guts to try the pool in winter, though it looked great for kids.
The free wifi signal was great, though of course the throughput was probably less than 1Mb, so was pokier than the speeds my 3G phone was able to pick up.
All in all, Garda was a great choice, and I'll recommend it to friends and fellow travelers.

Friendly and hospitable. Had a quiet and relaxing stay and had no problems with electricity or water. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed my time there.

What a beautiful place! It's centrally located, as a base, and we managed to tour most of the Zim places. Security, staff and owners are incomparable. A definite visit in future.
