8 Abalone Place

The place is nice and has everything needed, however the apartment had an overpowering damp smell like the carpet or the wall was wet. The host (Sylvia) was very nice, however on arrival there were so many rules for the kids - do not leave the gates open, my dogs will wander out, etc. Unfortunately I could not enjoy the stay as the host told us on arrival that they had incidents of snakes in the apartment - that just ruined it for me and that was the only thing on my mind as I had small children with me. I did not feel safe at all. The owners house is attached to the apartment so there were some restrictions. Despite all of the above, the sea views from the place were awesome, the braai facilities are excellent and the garden is to die for. I would definately recommend it to someone who does not have kids and does not have a phobia of snakes

1.The customer complained about a damp smell.

We did have heavy rains prior to December and we had the apartment painted out prior to December there was no wet carpets.

2.The customer complained about to many rules on arrival.

We keep the gates closed for the guest safety aswell as for ours.

There have to be rules and the guest have to be informed of this for their own safety as we are responsible for the safety and comfort of our guests.

3.Guests comlpained about snakes.

We did have an inncident of a snake in the past as we are in the country side this will happen from time to time,Sylvia mentioned this to the guests as a precaution and not to scare them off,no one was ever atacked by a snake on the premisses ever.

The customer also arrived with 2 extra children which was not paid for.

Beachview is a stunning area and the view from Abalone place is absolutely beautiful.

Me and my family enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was neat, spacious, had everything you would need while away from home and had a great view - we saw dolphins each morning!

A great place to stay!

We had a fabulous relaxing holiday at Abalone Place. The accommodation is spotless, the bed is so comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. We would love to go back and will most certainly recommend it to our family and friends.
