Casa Chibububo Lodge offers modern decorated wooden houses with a unique style, two metres above ground level. Breathtaking views of the Bazarutu Islands and a relaxed atmosphere make this an unbelievable experience. The beach is just 10 metres from the lodge which also features 24-hour electricity from EDM Vilanculos town.

The wooden houses are fully equipped, catering up to eight guests, with a fridge, freezer, beds with mosquito nets, and housekeeping daily. The houses feature an en-suite double bedroom and two by two single bedrooms, with one bathroom sharing. Please bring own beach towels as the towels supplied in the chalets are for indoor use only. Unwind emotionally and physically and bask in the beauty of nature, surrounded by white sands and clear blue water.

A restaurant, bar and swimming pool are also available. Vilanculos International Airport is just 1 km from the lodge, with a shuttle service to the airport and town available. Motorized dhow and ski boats are available to hire, and island hopping, fishing trips, and snorkelling are available at the lodge. Our experienced resident fishermen are on hand to introduce you to the excellent fishing waters. Our ski-boat, Walala Wasala, offers equipment and tackle to give you the edge on catching the big one.

From the moment you arrive Stuart and staff make you feel like nothing is too much trouble for them. Milton makes the best food in the restaurant and eating dinner and breakfast is recommended. Buy seafood fresh from the beach and Milton will cook it for you with pleasure. As for position, you can't get closer to the beach than this. The houses are very well appointed. Mozzie nets and fans standard issue. Great big house, perfect for families. Safe beach. I would recommend a stay here to anybody!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chibububo. The house is spacious and contains all the necessary kitchen equipment. It has a huge deck overlooking the ocean, making breakfast a scenic delight. The staff is also very helpful in organising daily activities, purchasing seafood from locals and providing general advice and travel tips. The cleaning lady keeps the house clean throughout the day, allowing one to fully relax and enjoy the holiday. The only con was the fact that we couldn’t braai/cook on the deck (due to fire hazards). I suggest that one takes a gas braai along in order to enjoy the amazing views while preparing food. All in all – great stay, amazing setting, awesome holiday!

The house at Casa Chibubo far exceeded our expectations. Spacious, clean, comfortable and wonderful sea views from the enormous private decking. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, and even though we were only there for two nights we were treated to 5 Star service throughout by all the staff. Highly recommended.
