28 January 2015

It was a short time but we enjoyed. The house kitchen are well equipped.

15 January 2015

It is not possible to have views off the Bazaruto Island; it is to far. Here is no beach during day time. No swimming beach at all. Island fees where 400 meticas per person and they did not mention that it cost another 1 400 meticas per person for transport to the Island. Total 1 800 meticas and not 200 meticas as advertised. Sometimes we were without water and electricity. The bedding was not up to standard. Some off the pillows were in a very bad condition and two (2) mosquito nets were full of holes. We packed up early because it was raining and everything got wet inside in the middle of the night. All the beds got wet and nobody could slept. The swimming pool was dirty. We paid another R5000 for a half day fishing trip that was not even on standard. Not even one live Jacket on the boat. This was a very expensive and bad holiday, we all feel ripped. They have no reception area.

Establishment Response:

Please notethat not 1 of this was reported at the Manager or the Owner.  There wasone night a heavy rain and wind storm like a cyclone and they steal the lodgewaterpump.  We must install the new pump and then the lodge have wateragain.  Also houses in the town from R6000 per night have leakings of thisheavy storm.

At least 3of the guest in this house were  by many times so drunk that it wasembarrassment for the whole lodge and we receive several complaints of theother houses. It went so far that if they don’t leave earlier we were forced toask the to leave the lodge.  2 of the ladies as well as a young lady makeexcuse at the owner of the lodge for their behavior.

With thefishing trip they caught 4 baracudas. We prepare 2 for them for dinner andthere was also other guest in the restaurant. Therefore we replace it withfresh fish when they departure. The skipper tell us the clients never caughtfish with a skiboat.

We have 24 groupsclients visit us.  11 were  old clients visit us again. 5 alreadymake bookings for Dec 2015.  Only 2 clients have complains about thelodge.

01 November 2012

From the moment you arrive Stuart and staff make you feel like nothing is too much trouble for them. Milton makes the best food in the restaurant and eating dinner and breakfast is recommended. Buy seafood fresh from the beach and Milton will cook it for you with pleasure. As for position, you can't get closer to the beach than this. The houses are very well appointed. Mozzie nets and fans standard issue. Great big house, perfect for families. Safe beach. I would recommend a stay here to anybody!

08 October 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chibububo. The house is spacious and contains all the necessary kitchen equipment. It has a huge deck overlooking the ocean, making breakfast a scenic delight. The staff is also very helpful in organising daily activities, purchasing seafood from locals and providing general advice and travel tips. The cleaning lady keeps the house clean throughout the day, allowing one to fully relax and enjoy the holiday. The only con was the fact that we couldn’t braai/cook on the deck (due to fire hazards). I suggest that one takes a gas braai along in order to enjoy the amazing views while preparing food. All in all – great stay, amazing setting, awesome holiday!

10 April 2012

We were a group of 16 people and we enjoyed it so much! The accommodation was excellent and the people were great. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. We will definitely be going back here. Thank you so much Casa Shibububo Lodge.
