Ruben's Casa Luna was perfectly located in the heart of Kalk Bay - with a great balcony with lovely views of harbour and sea. Also a great place to watch the 'action' and the world literally pass by. The place itself was spacious enough for the four of us - two adults and two children (9 and 8) - for a full week. Tastefully and comfortably equipped. We especially loved the comfortable mattresses and pillows, white cotton linen and towels. Thoughtful touches, like the bowl of fresh fruit, flowers and fresh milk in the fridge made us feel most welcome - as did Ruben's most helpful guidance and information that was always available. Thank you Ruben for a wonderful stay - we look forward to another visit before too long. Meanwhile we highly recommend the apartment.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Luna. The flat is right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants! How perfect is that? With a good view. My four-year old daughter did not even once ask where the TV was. Thanks Ruben!

Lovely stay. Charming and quaint apartment in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Kalk Bay. Will definitely stay again.

We were looking for a bustling, vibrant, yet comfortable place to stay and found it at Casa Luna in Kalk Bay. Right across from the Brass Bell Restaurant, the Kalk Bay Station and Sirocco Restaurant, we had all the comfort we needed to soothe those aching feet. The comfortably furnished two-bedroom apartment has everything one needs. From soft towels, great linen, good quality crockery to a great balcony from which to view the whole world. Although the bathroom is extremely small, it has all you need. We visited different areas such as Stellenbosch, Franschoek, etc. each day but kept Kalk Bay for our last day in the Cape and spent five hours visiting all the different shops in the immediate vicinity and had lunch at Kalkies right on the harbour. What we loved most about the location of the apartment was that it allowed us to return after a day’s outing, park our rental (without worrying about theft as there is extremely good security in the area) have a drink on the balcony, shower and walk to wherever we decided to dine. Walking back late at night was not a problem due to previously mentioned security guys. With this, I would like to thank Ruben for the fresh fruit and tasty loaf of bread (from the bakery just down the street) which he welcomed us with. To conclude, this is not a place if you are looking for peace and quiet, but a place that is alive, which offers you a variety of restaurants and shops to visit. And if you don’t want to do that, you can just sit on the balcony watching people running to catch the train, listen to the buskers, watch the ocean and be thankful that you are on holiday!

Ruben was very friendly and helpful. We liked the fact that we stayed in the un-renovated part of the flat. It had a rustic feel about it. The view was fantastic and the flat is super central.
