Kalahari Sands Hotel
About Kalahari Sands Hotel
Windhoek is Namibia’s capital city, and is described as a city with a ‘continental’ atmosphere. This can be ascribed to its architecture, with historical buildings dating back to the German colonial rule. Windhoek was initially known as Ai-gams a Nama, meaning ‘firewater’, ‘steam’ or ‘smoke’ because of the area’s plentiful hot springs.
The Kalahari Sands Hotel and Casino has a total of 173 rooms which are decorated to blend into their earthy surroundings. The colour scheme is taken from the golden hues of the dunes and combined with the reddish tones of the bushman paintings. We boast the prestigious Presidential Suite, five Standard Suites, 16 Luxury Suites and 151 Standard Room.
One of our aspirations is to give you an unparalleled hospitality experience. So wherever you’re coming from, and wherever you’re going to, let this hotel be your first port of call.
