Cedar Inn

We did not have a pleasant stay. The palce is very dirty and out-dated. It has n very nice view of the Dam, but ha the noisy N7 between you and the dam. there is a kitchen, but the kitchen has extremely limited supplies - no stove, no braai utensils, no knifes, bowls, glasses etc. The blinds and the sliding door are broken and cannot open.

I originally chose to stay here because the description gives an impression that it is a B&B, where dinner and breakfast is provided. When I got there, all this place was is a row of rooms behind a petrol station. And the restaurant had been closed for 3 years, so had no choice but to buy a frozen pie for dinner and microwave it in my room. Next morning, I had to drive into Clanwilliam for breakfast and fortunately found much more suitable accommodation; I decided to cancel the second night at Cedar Inn and stay there instead. To his credit, the manager gave me a partial refund for the second night. The rooms seem okay, but the kitchen cupboards had missing handles. The bathtub under the shower seemed to be totally rusted out beneath the enamel surface. Apart from these, accommodation would be okay for self-catering travellers, not international travellers such as myself who need to travel lightly.

We just needed a place to sleep for the night and that's what Cedar Inn offers. Basic accommodation, rooms are clean and neat and reasonably priced. Stayed at Cedar Inn last year too and will definitely be back there for next year's Freshpak fitness festival.

Enjoyed that stay and hospitality and got more room for my money than I expected... Beautiful view...

Not very high standard of accomodation but hosts were friendly and helpful. Good value for money
