The bustling town of Colesberg is an ideal halfway stopover from Gauteng, Cape Town or Kwazulu-Natal. This original restored house is in a quiet historical part of town, an easy walk to three restaurants and a pub.

The two bedroomed family suites with private entrance or a stylish bedroom, all has air-conditioner, TV, fan, electric blanket and tea tray. Hearty breakfasts in the cozy dining room, relax on the wide verandah overlooking a tranquil garden. Secure covered parking. Regret no credit cards. Children are welcome. Not pet friendly. We stayed across the road in a family unit which suited us very nicely. The little cottage gave us the independence we wanted and safe parking for our car. We arrived late afternoon and were gone by 8 the next morning after a nice breakfast.

We stayed over on our way to Herold's Bay, and were exhausted and hungry after the day's driving. Our host was welcoming and friendly, and directed us to a lovely restaurant. The room was comfortable and breakfast was tastefully prepared and presented. We'll be back!

It was a great experience because not only was Johan organized and extremely helpful, he sorted us out with regards to contacting extended family as well. It's a very comfortable overnight and we would have enjoyed it more under relaxed personal circumstances. A highly recommended stay.
