For anyone who wants value for their hard earned money, I will not recommend this place. The place is a real dump, the client fridges had mould, our children had to sleep on the floor, got accussed of hiding keys. The place is not suitable for accomodation and I will not recommend it to anyone. Struggling to get my deposit back because I could not even check into this place.

We had a lovely time. The staff was friendly and helpful. They didn't give us any hassle at all. Lovely place to go to should you wish to unwind and be alone.

The place was fine but not practical as a family accommodation as there is no privacy.
Firstly, she made the booking with SafariNow and myself at 8 am on the morning of their arrival and arrived at 9.30am when check in is from 11am. Even so, the room was ready for them.
Secondly, in my email reply to her enquiry, I made it quite clear that the Sunflower yellow room was a dbl room, (for a couple) and there is a sleeper couch at the foot of the bed for the child.
She stated the child was under 12, which is questionable and we have had lots of parents stay in that room, who have no problem with their children sharing the same room as them.
I believe I made it clear to her that the child would be in the same room as herself and her husband. If privacy was what they wanted, which was not stated, then I agree that the room, may not be suitable for their requirements.
For the record, we do have a family room, the Fern green room, which was already booked, as were all the other rooms. It was a busy weekend with the Top Gear festival.
Thirdly, we do not advertise DSTV, as we only have M-net, which is our prerogative to provided and not a requirement. Pumula was informed in my email, that M-net is provided at no point was DSTV mentioned by either myself or her?
Fourthly, we do have a big parking space, but as we had two big ambulances parked in the open bay parking, (they were part of the medical support team for the Top Gear festival), her husband was asked to park in the undercover parking bay, next to another car. Had her husband been a better driver, he would have had no problem parking there, but for some reason battled to park his BMW, whereas no one else had a problem? These are standard parking bays. How does he manage at shopping centres?
Fifth, there is a beaded curtain separating the bedroom from the bathroom and not a door, as the space does not warrant a door.
Wi-fi is provided, free of charge to guests as stated.
Lastly, Chelmsford House is more than “fine” and had she had booked earlier, a family room may have been available.
Frankly I find her review rather offensive, especially as when they were leaving she said they had enjoyed their stay would like to come back for the Durban July weekend, to which I replied best book soon, as we are almost fully booked.
In light of her review, it appears she is a hypocrite and not someone we would accommodate in the future.
My suggestion would be for Pumula to look at five star accommodation in the future as that would probably be more suitable to her requirements.
In closing, all sixteen other guests were more than happy with what we provide at Chelmsford House.
I appreciate your feedback and if there is any further information you require, I am always pleased to be of assistance.
Thanking you in advance.

The pictures were very misleading, from what we saw on the Internet we were very disappointed. The only reason why we continued to stay there was because we didn't have any options and we were not going to get refunded. When are we getting our deposit back please?

I don't regret my choice, the place is just convenient, friendly, safe and worthy staying at. I have found a home from home.
