Cruise-N-Snooze

My two teenage children and I spent two nights aboard the boat, and had a fabulous time. The weather was especially kind which added to the experience. I will definitely do it again, and highly recommend this for a relaxing getaway.

An ideal getaway for anybody who wants to relax and enjoy quiet and tranquillity at excellent value for money. We were welcomed by Ramond, and felt at ease from the start of our 3 night stay on the houseboat. It is your own choice if you want to stay on the houseboat for your entire stay, or if you would like to disembark and visit a restaurant or casino. Freedom to choose where to anchor and fish or sleep over made our stay even more enjoyable, because we were not restricted to other people's opinions on what we should do. Thanx Raymond, we will definitely recommend Snooze 'n Cruise to others, and will be returning to enjoy a few more restful nights on the river.

We booked into the rondavel with the intention of angling in peaceful surroundings without being bothered by loud music, people that abuses alcohol and other anglers that cannot behave. Although some of this was found to be so I cannot say that all was to our satisfaction. Positive thoughts 1. The rondavels were clean and neat. The bedding were clean as well. 2. The island that we angled on were clean and spacious. 3. No other anglers were in the way and there was no way that you could be bothered. 4. The fishing went well and we caught carp sizes from 1 to 6 kg with the largest caught in the morning or after 6 at night. The carps has an excellent fighting spirit. 5. The breakfast that was given was well prepared and filling. 6. Mariana and Raymond did there best to make us feel at home. 7. None of our equipment got stolen after we left our equipment on the island for all these nights 8. No snags at all was found and a no amount of drift plants interfering with the lines. Negatives [1]. Angling windows a bit small due to boat activity on the river. (5-10am)(5-10pm).[2]. Distance from rondavel to island approximately 120 m.[3] The fact that you cannot prepare food on the island or in the boma area is a concern although not allowing it inside the rondavel is understandable. [4] The distance from the rondavel to the island made it a bit uncomfortable during the night to sleep due to equipment not being close by.[5]Big carp a serious concern when running with the drag due to boat activity as they do tend to go for the reeds on the other side of the river except at night or early in the morning. NB.WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK TO CRUISE N SNOOSE.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we will definitely recommend you to our family and friends and anyone else who is still thinking about it. We are already planning a return trip in January 2009. We would like to do this again soon.
