Description

Ngwenya Lodge Self-catering Syndicate Chalet is situated on the southern boundary of one of the biggest and best-known wildlife sanctuaries in the world, the Kruger National Park. At Ngwenya Lodge, you can literally reach out and touch the Kruger National Park as the resort is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River overlooking the game reserve from the wild side of the fence.

The electrified game fence of the Kruger National Park passes behind Ngwenya, and this effectively incorporates the resort into the game area. This means that you have every opportunity to see all the same species that occur in the game-rich south eastern section of the Kruger Park without having to leave the lodge. The evergreen riverine habitat of Ngwenya Lodge provides an excellent setting from which to enjoy great year round game-viewing and birding.

The Ngwenya Lodge Self-catering Syndicate Chalet is a brick and thatch luxury four-bedroom house situated on the banks of the Crocodile River and accommodating up to 10 guests in total. The house features four en-suite bedrooms, each with either a double bed or twin beds. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a fridge, dishwasher, stove and oven, microwave, and a kettle. The open-plan lounge and dining area features a TV, ceiling fan, air-conditioning and a dining table, and the lounge leads out through glass doors onto the balcony. The balcony overlooks the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park and features a six-seater outdoor dining table, sun loungers and barbecue facilities. Under cover parking is also provided.

For the kids, we have a games room with pool tables, table tennis and a wide range of board games are available. We also have a minigolf course, trampolines, children’s jungle gyms and tennis courts, and the resort has five outdoor swimming pools to enjoy. In addition, the Ngwenya Lodge Resort facilities include three game-viewing decks and a games room with pool tables, tennis table, PlayStation, DStv, and board games.

Excellent Value for Money - This riverside chalet offers excellent animal viewing - we saw, buffalo, warthogs, impalas, bushbuck, crocodiles, elephants, rhinos as well as lions from our patio. Sadly to say, we missed the lion kill. The elephants came right up to the electric fence which made for hours of fantastic viewing. At night we heard the lions nearby. Accommodation very private, neat, has good finishes and furnishings, very spacious. EXCELLENT resort, new owners at restaurant, which is also nicely positioned overlooking the river. This is our second time, and will be back again!!

The time spend at the lodge was the best holiday I've experienced in my life!
