One river with two destinations named The River's Edge and The Riverwild; both are unique in their setting, offering guests a choice of accommodation and ambience to experience. Riverwild is the ideal venue for events such as bush conferences, corporate and family breakaways, customer incentives, 4x4 trials and team building events.

River's Edge offers secluded wood cabins elevated among age-old Matumi trees, providing a bird's eye view of the river as it cascades down the gorge. Riverwild offers a bush camp in a class of its own. Guests are accommodated in dome tents equipped with electric lights, comfortable beds and bedding. The tents are shaded by Matumi, Water-berry and River Bushwillow trees.

Guests may participate in a wide range of exciting adventure and recreation activities presented with the support and encouragement of competent guides. Activities on request include the Riverwild 4x4 Route, abseiling, river tubing and archery. Nature lovers can observe many species of veld flowers, butterflies and bird life on the farm.

Camping facilities are suitable for adventurous campers who want to live with basics. There was a problem with the warm water element and there were problems with the day/night switch for light on the camping grounds. The workers were however very friendly and helpful.

We really had good time, thanks to the staff at the resort especially Bheki for giving us a 5 star service. The 4x4 trail was good and the map was easy to read. We will definitely return with the rest of my crew.

Riverwild is set in a beautiful area surrounded with trees and the river flowing past the campsite as well as the chalets. It is a great destination to go quad biking and we loved it very much. The camping site area I would recommend for a bunch of men on a boys weekend for quad biking and 4x4 trails. There was a few minor negative things. The road is not suitable for a normal vehicles. We weren't warned at all to regards to the state of the road. Our biggest disappointment was that we were never told that there is no signal at all at the campsite but only at reception. This caused a problem to us. We could have arranged things accordingly if we knew there is no signal. Mhurphy's law we had a big storm on the second night of our stay which made the power go out. Leaving us with no signal. The electricity going out is not the fault of Riverwild. Third matter that came up is that we were had no hot water to shower in the second morning of our stay after being soaked the night before by the rain.

Had a fab time- it was so much fun to experience that side of Mpumalanga. Will definitely return and use my jeep for the gravel roads, not for the smart cars as you have to drive through steep peaks. The chalets is beautiful and the mornings are just breathtaking. The river running by made it a peaceful haven. Thank you very much for the kind reception and the people are most friendly. Thanks to Gideon and will visit soon, with my Jeep of cause.
