Three Cities Mushroom Lodge
South Luangwa Nat Park
About Three Cities Mushroom Lodge
Mushroom Lodge, a unique site on the Mfuwe Lagoon inside the South Luangwa Park, was originally built in the early seventies to accommodate the Head of State and his VIP guests. Mushroom Lodge offers comfortable, rustic but modern accommodation in secluded thatched chalets set under Ebony trees. The property has been developed in such a way as to retain the heritage value of its historical past whilst adding value in terms of an appropriate range of amenities and facilities conducive for a full service modern safari lodge.
Each chalet is well-ventilated with large windows and high ceilings and decorated to create a rich African feel. Suite features include an en-suite bathroom and indoor shower with a full range of amenities, a separate toilet and an outside shower for complete comfort. A separate lounge and private patio overlooking the lagoon allows for close-up and safe viewing of birds and wildlife that frequently visit the lagoon. Mushroom Lodge is a child-friendly establishment, and also offers interleading chalets for families.
Rates include accommodation, three meals per day, two game activities, transfers to and from Mfuwe Airport, laundry, local beverages, house wines, and government taxes. Rates exclude National Park fees.
