Aqua Africa Scuba Diving School is located in Nkhata Bay, right on the shores of the beautiful Lake Malawi. At our restaurant, The Dive Deck, we have a wide range of meals and treats all complimented by delicious drinks and an amazing view.

We have our own en-suite accommodation to suit all budgets and every room has its own balcony with fantastic lake views – the ideal place for relaxing after your day’s diving.

Some of Lake Malawi’s best diving is right on our doorstep such as the site featured in David Attenborough’s most recent BBC series – Planet Earth. To see this at its best come, and explore on a night dive and join one of the most unique diving experiences on the planet. On the dive you will be accompanied by our resident “pack” of dolphin fish who use the effect of your torch to capture their prey - the ever present cichlids.

You don’t need any previous experience to explore this magical world – we offer a full range of PADI courses. For beginners, you can choose from a half day “Discover Scuba Diving” experience, to a full four-day open water course. For those who are already qualified, we are able to offer refresher and advanced courses, as well as a variety of speciality dives. For many divers, the lake is their first chance to do a freshwater dive as well as a dive at altitude.
