Vista do Mar

Vista do Mar, derived from the Portuguese meaning “view of the sea,” is an upmarket lodge located on a pristine stretch of unsurpassed Barra Beach beachfront and only minutes from Inhambane. Vista do Mar is situated a short drive from Inhambane Airport and boasts eight luxury, air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms in either double or twin configuration.

Each room’s spacious interior presents breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and leads out onto a wooden deck and entertainment area. The lodge is the smartest and most sought after holiday destination in the area. Two communal sections within the lodge are furnished with flat-screen TVs, entertainment systems, a pool table and telescopes. The lodge is fully equipped and serviced daily by a full time butler and permanent chef.

Scuba diving in Inhambane is among the best in the world with reefs close to every beach, including the renowned Manta Reef and Gallaria. Regular visitors to these waters include giant manta rays, whale sharks, turtles and other teeming marine life, promising a visual feast. Many professional scuba diving operations are run throughout the province, together with excellent snorkelling locations. The lodge offers two jet skis, four quad bikes and access to a sport fishing boat all charged at an hourly rate, as well as three kayaks and one 4x4 game viewing vehicle.
