Superb Stay
We had a superb stay at Alta Bay Boutique Hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful and the establishment is perfectly located in an upmarket suburb close to Cape Town inner-city. The styling is immaculate and the attention to detail pays testament to Ariel’s (the owner) perfectionism. I really enjoyed the outside balcony and lounge chairs with a beautiful view of Cape Town city and the harbour. Alta Bay is small boutique hotel, set high on the slopes of Table Mountain with beautiful views over Table Bay and City and ideally set for an intimate escape, relaxation or sightseeing during a visit to Cape Town. Surrounded by a lush native garden, the villa combines understated luxury and urban chic with a laid-back and retreat atmosphere. Alta Bay was chosen in January 2005 by House and Leisure magazine as one of their top 20 places to stay in South Africa. Wallpaper magazine also featured Alta Bay as one of the select places to stay, in its September 2005 issue guide to Cape Town. Located in smart Higgovale, Alta Bay is 10 minutes away from most of Cape Town’s attractions including the Waterfront and Cape Town’s Clifton and Camps Bay beaches. A perfect spot to unwind by the pool, enjoy a drink on the terrace, or simply sleep your stress away, in between exploring Cape Town and its magnificent surroundings. Designed in a contemporary style, it combines understated luxury and urban chic with a laid-back and retreat atmosphere. A beautiful art collection ranging from classic to modern is displayed throughout. Rooms either face the garden or overlook the city and bay. Service is personal with attention to details, but nevertheless casual and relaxed, to ensure that you feel at home at all times. Therefore, when wishing a drink by the pool or a coffee in your room, you can either ask one of our staff members or simply help yourself to the honesty bar. Alta Bay is not just a bed for a night of sleep during your stay in Cape Town. It is a serene sanctuary of sun-drenched spaciousness, where you can unwind and enjoy the relaxed and laid back atmosphere throughout the day. Facilities comprise of a pool and pool terrace, upper terrace, living room, breakfast room, garden, and parking. Services offered include, wireless pc connection, laundry service, honesty bar, light snack menu during the day. We can also arrange spa treatments including one-on-one Yoga and Pilates sessions. Children aged 12 and older are welcome.
