Description
Private home situated on a private nature reserve with plentiful wildlife, it consists of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, lounge, loft, kitchen and deck area with a braai and swimming pool, belonging to private residents of the park. All rooms, including bathrooms, have views of the surrounding wilderness.
Sabie Park is a private nature reserve just 1 km from the Paul Kruger Gate and offers a more family-orientated environment than other private nature reserves as many of the potentially dangerous animals are safely removed from the area should they cross over the Sabie River and into our park. This means that day walks in the bush are allowed and adults and children can observe many interesting animals such as giraffe, zebra, bushbuck, wildebeest and many others at close distances. However, the occasional leopard makes his way around and families of hyenas are permanent residents of the park. All the above animals have been spotted form the house and hyena visits after dark are frequent.
The pool area for the parks residents offers a large swimming pool and kiddie’s pool, braais, games room, satellite TV and library. The picnic area, located at the river, overlooking the Kruger National Park, offers braais and large, comfortable hides lookout points, where lion, elephant and buffalo are often spotted coming to the river to drink and eat.
As our guesthouse is self-catering, guests are required to supply their own groceries the nearest shops are Checkers, about 15 km away, and Skukuza, in the Kruger National Park about 12 km away. Their own private vehicles will also be required and day trips into the Kruger National Park are at their own accord.
The owner of the house will accompany guests and offers services such as cooking and cleaning.
