Tucked away in the folds of the Sneeuberg Mountains, close to the little hamlet of Nieu-Bethesda, you will find Weltevreden, a historic Karoo sheep farm. Discover Africa's outback at Weltevreden where you can relax in the wide open Karoo countryside with it's panoramic view of Compassberg and the Sneeuberg mountain range. We offer you the chance to enjoy everyday sheep and cattle farming activities, walks, hikes, tennis on clay, splash pool, sundowner jaunts (by arrangement) and genuine peace and quiet under great night skies. Birds are abundant and offer good watching along with small game. A selection of three units with en suite bathrooms available. We are 13 kms from Nieu Bethesda, site of Helen Martins' Owl House (inspiration for Athol Fugard's play The Road to Mecca) and 56 kms from the historic town of Graaff Reinet.
