Fully Booked from 17/11/2007 to 07/01/2008 Vikings Rest is situated 50 m from the ocean in Shelly Beach. The cul-de-sac property is in the second row from beachfront, and is surrounded by a large tropical garden with a small stream trickling through it. We are a 3 minute walk from the beach with the Shelly Centre shopping complex a convienent 5 minutes drive away. The popular bathing beaches of St Michael's on Sea, Uvongo, Margate (blue flag beach) and Ramsgate (blue flag beach) are within 5 to 15 minutes drive. Vikings Rest is wheelchair friendly. A stone floor, brick wall cottage with built in braai's on the patio overlooking the garden. The kitchen is modern and spacious with eye level ovens and fully equipped. For your piece of mind the property is secured with an 24 hour reaction alarm. Shelly Beach is a fisherman's paradise with excellent shore and boat angling opportunities. The annual sardine run, during the winter months, brings large shoals of Sardine close to the shore. Shad, game fish, dolphins and shark join in the feeding frenzy, bringing life to the oceans. Daily angling, diving and pleasure trip charters depart from the angling club (5 minutes drive). The world renowned Protea Banks reef is situated offshore from Shelley Beach. Protea Banks is rated as one of South Africa's top ten diving destinations. It is a must for shark lovers and boasts large shoals of Hammerhead as well as Bull Shark, Bronze Whalers, Raggedtooth and the odd Tiger Shark.
