A very warm welcome from Wendy greeted us on arrival at Halstead House. She was the perfect hostess - gave us excellent advice on places to go and eat, but Halstead House itself, even though the weather was not at the best, was an attraction to the children with a small but lovely swimming pool.

Overall a fantastic time,
Charles was very attentive and helpful with every request. the house is truly brilliant, great views of the sea and mountains and only a 5 min( max) walk to the beach.
The canoeing up the river is a must for views and setting. The picnic that Charles made was first rate.
Getting into Plett is also easy, there is a good taxi company that they use which is reliable and also reasonable.
