As the name suggests The Lookout Guest House, is perched high on a hill overlooking the picturesque town of Port Alfred and commands panoramic views of the sea, the Kowie River, The Royal Alfred Marina and the colourful small boat harbour. Situated on the R72 midway between Port Elizabeth and East London, Port Alfred, is the ideal base from which to explore South Africa's magnificent sunshine coast or to make excursions into the historically enriched Frontier country of the interior.

The three self-contained units are all elegantly furnished, luxuriously appointed, have their own separate entrances and boast magnificent views. They are fully equipped with most of the modern conveniences and the well fitted kitchenettes are a real treat. All are serviced daily unless otherwise requested. Secure off street parking is available and barbecue/braai facilities and wood are provided. The deck and splash pool is the ideal place for sun lovers to relax or to enjoy a refreshing drink after a long day.

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway in Port Alfred and our stay at The Lookout made it twice as special. Comfort, luxury, charm and fabulous hospitality is what we found. And, wow, what stunning views! Thanks Louise for making it worth our while. Will definitely be back if we are in town again.

What a beautiful, neat and comfortable place. The hostess is an extremely friendly and wonderful lady. I cant compare the service we got to that of any other Guest House or hotel that I ever visited. Will definitely come back again and recommend it to my family and friends.

Service was excellent. The hot and cold breakfast were 5 star quality. The room ladies were polite and friendly at all times, as well as the owners. Most awesome view from our room. We felt at home. Will gladly return and already recommend it to friends.

We spent 5 great nights at The Lookout. The welcome, quality of the property, view and breakfast were all first class. The place is kept spotless and in excellent order all round. Port Alfred is small, so getting to anywhere from the establishment is easy. I will tell my friends and family to stay there if they get the chance.

Well designed apartment like accommodation overlooking Port Alfred, Fuss free stay with friendly and helpful hosts. Pity about the weather though, could not really enjoy the beaches.
